When you're cold it's really hard to heat up again. They will need consistency if they want the positive character developments to eventually lead to box office drawing

2023-09-07 23:32:46 +0000 UTCAEW will continue to struggle as long as WWE is doing well domestically. Many of the fans that supported AEW early on, only did so because they were disgruntled with WWE. Now that WWE is doing good again, those same people have decided it's not worth it to keep supporting AEW as well. This is evident in many markets across the country not selling tickets quickly as they did before. You can point to high ticket prices for some markets, but please keep in mind that the cost to rent venues has increased since 2021. Tickets are high for other forms of entertainment as well. Unfortunately, you don't see two major wrestling promotions selling a lot of tickets at the same time for a long period of time. AEW is doing well with their storylines but this isn't translating well at the box office.
