just a very quick one- i'm a little lost on what to talk about in this weeks attic archives episode, so i thought i could answer some patreon questions or talk on a prompt from one of you like i used to (back in the early attic archive days!) 💭

in addition to that, i just wanted to mentioned that the episode will be a day late this week- we're going out tomorrow and i'd like to include the footage, so will have to pull it all together when i get home in the evening! i hope it won't cause you too much trouble.

Hi Megan, I was wondering how you manage and organise your content for YouTube and social media, especially on days when you might not feel like it, or when you’re not in the right headspace to film/edit. Do you plan topics in advance or do you prefer to work on a week-by-week basis? How did you get into creating content and what advice would you give yourself knowing what you know now? Love your videos<3<3 And how open you are. It’s really brave, refreshing and inspiring to see. You’ve created a nice cosy space both here and in the attic archives. Ditto @Sidney N about taking the time you need for the video. Health and well-being are the most important. Hope you had a good day out today :)

As long as you don't feel burnt out or overwhelmed and are enjoying the process, we're happy to experience the cozy vibes. I for one, just start your vlogs over from the beginning when I'm waiting on a new one haha

Do you wait for inspiration to come to you (when it’s not commission or work related) or do you doodle until an idea comes to you? Do you tend to have ideas while out, write them down, and reference it later on for inspiration? I really enjoy your art style and I would love to hear your process, if it’s not too personal. 🥰

2023-01-20 14:09:23 +0000 UTCi actually answered this on tumblr recently, so i'll paste my answer here! it's a little intense to mention on youtube, i think 😅 "i’ve been drawing them so long i’m not really sure anymore. i’ve always been a little obsessed with the concept of home- i had a weird, traumatic childhood so i didn’t ever really feel safe or that i belonged or that the places i grew up in were “homes”. i’d like to one day have a permanent, safe home. it’s probably the only thing i truly want in life. i guess i draw them to remind myself that i’ve built safe homes in all my books, even if i don’t have my literal “forever” home yet. hopefully one day i will"
