realised somewhat belatedly that i can actually add little clips for you here, independent of youtube/vimeo etc. so in an effort to use this like the lil newsletter it's meant to be, i've attached a little video of my current notebooks. i just passed the halfway point in my second field notes book, which is nice. it's taken me much longer to fill this one, much longer for it to feel "broken in" and like it's a space that belongs to me. i was so attached to the first book (that i filled so quickly) that it's take me an age to sit down and get to know (?) this one properly. hopefully i won't fill the second half too fast, i really don't want to break another one in so soon π₯²
i also wanted to thank you all for your kind comments and the thoughts you shared under my last post/the last video- it can quickly become overwhelming to try and reply to everyone (especially as i start to get repetitive, and i never want to seem insincere in my responses) but i'm so grateful. it was a video that i was really nervous to upload, and the response has been not only really warming but also very reassuring- none of us are alone in these feelings, and there's a strange (if not slightly sad) comfort in that. we're all just doing our best each day, and i'm very glad to have you all here.
on a lighter note, some swans from a big walk on saturday πΎπ¦’

I think I've watched the last video about 5 times. It so perfectly captures the way I'm feeling at the moment. I didn't think my girlfriend had seen it so mentioned it and before I could even say it echos my recent burnout and struggles she immediately said she'd seen it and is going to help me make a box. I recently read A Room of One's Own, and that really resonated in a seperate but similar way. Not sure if you've read it but I think you may enjoy it. Or at least find it interesting.
