hi everyone, i hope you're all doing ok!

another slightly quiet week as i've still been feeling a bit tired/foggy, but i have been working on a weird side-project (as shown in the video) 🙇🏻‍♀️ I don't think everything said there needs repeating here, but it's been a strange time and I'm not really sure what I'm trying to achieve with it all 💭

because it's been quiet, there's not too much to share again- but i have some screenshots and a photo from today. i've not been getting out much recently (if that hasn't been obvious) but i'll trying to remedy that in the next few days.

thanks for always bearing with me during my quieter times. hopefully i'll get out and about soon and be able to show you a bit more! but at the very least, i'll keep you updated on my strange planner journey.

the physical shop update is now also accessible for those of you in the uk, and the password for entry to the shop is " patreonparty " - please let me know if you run into any issues. im hoping it won't be too hard to navigate, but everything digital is marked as such, and everything without the word "digital" in the title is a physical product.

hope you enjoy the video, and hope that you all have a lovely weekend ❤️‍🩹

take care and speak soon, friends x

i love the ring planner idea, something about it is so shiny to me. i’m going to try to make my own pages as well. i tried using word but there’s no way to put a grid on the paper background ;o; so im going to experiment with tables and see what i come up with. hope you are well !

Preview on your mac should be able to organize the pages for booklet. Or if your printer will print on A5, cut the paper first, then set your paper size to A5, print the even pages, then print the odds. PS: I'm totally interested in a downloadable planner. Or at least, I'm curious how you set everything up. B6 is my magic size, but I spend years using a discbound system and hyperfocusing on designing my own layouts.

It seems like a fun project and am surprised that using a ring system like a filofax is something that you haven’t experimented with. I loved my filofax (though I’ve never been very creative) when I was a 12 year old. At the moment still loving my Hobonichi + experimenting in trying to use the Jibun Techo for weekly planning.

Love this project!! I would definitely be interested in buying digital planner inserts. The simplicity of your design and aesthetic is the perfect combination for a planner! I love the mix of the two fonts as well. I don't mind the days being labeled in the weekly just as long as I can insert the actual date myself. I also love the little weather tracker!! I'm a fan!!

I would love to buy the planner pages if you sold them as a digital product - how cool! I love how you’ve designed them. And I fully support your hyper focus planner project whilst simultaneously hoping it’s not stressing you out!

Love this project!!! I did wonder for a moment about getting a printer so I could fully be in support of them being a digital product, because they're so beautiful and all the reasons you explained liking them super appeal to me too 😤 Alas i think putting a system like this into place for myself would be too large of an investment haha (a printer, paper, etc :P), but I'm cheering you on, they look so lovely and well-designed that I can imagine them being appealing to people that either have the equipment to get started with it physically already, or for digital planning maybe?!

I love love love this!! I would 100% buy the inserts and think they are really functional and can be used in So many ways.‘For science’ is the only excuse we need to try these things out 😋

I haven’t been able to watch the video just yet (but will very soon), but in the video from last week Megan mentioned that she used MT masking tape, so maybe that’s the one?

Kim

The fonts are amazing, and everything about the little project is great. So much autistic joy!

Emily

Any time! I'm on instagram as @all.the.crafts - if you can DM me I'll give you my email and we can talk planners!

Sarah Bailey

I would love to chat with you about your experience with printing and binding your own planner! I'm attempting the same

Ollie 🐞

Hi Megan ❤️, what was the brand of white masking tape you were using in your book?

Grace

!!!! I totally understand what you say and feel about your notebooks/planner pages. because I used small them last year and then i moved to a5 since i felt i need bigger space. finally, now i combined commonplace and planner (bujo?) pages which I draw in one place. as your father said, i as well think it's natural. thank you for updating the physical shop order. i am really looking forward to putting gloomies stickers on my notebooks. i hope you can get better sleep and take care!

I use a ring binder for work (personal/bible size though) and I LOVE it. Not so much for my personal life but it keeps me sane at work. I'd be into buying printable inserts if you decide to sell them, though I would request personal and pocket sizes too :) That's the problem with getting into printable inserts, you have so many more sizes to deal with. Also regarding your half sheet in the middle, I do same as well, I have the week as "bookends" for the weekly spread, with master lists and notes in the middle. I've never found anything that works better for my needs. Last year I went through a similar phase, I started with designing my own ring planner inserts and moved to designing my own planner, which I printed and bound myself. It's a fun hobby actually! Also I love your font choices, I'm so freaking sick of that stupid bouncy font that's everywhere on Etsy. You do you boo. Love seeing your experiments regardless of where they end up!

Sarah Bailey

I LOVE how these turned out! Also i think the font you use is definitely a pro. I think it makes it look so much better than if you were to use the standard font. I definitely think you’d have lots of interest in these pages, however you decided to share them! Can’t wait to see an update

Tori Davis

I absolutely love the fonts of the planner pages. I’m one of those that needs full days for the weekends because majority of the time I have a lot more going on on the weekends because the rest of the week is my desk job. I don’t track work in my personal planner and use a basic lined notebook and tear away weekly planner instead. I honestly could probably get away with half columns during the week and full columns on the weekend for personal. I wouldn’t necessarily use the weather portion (I barely check it and just wing it when I’m getting dressed), but I should maybe start tracking mood again 🤔

Courtney

I like the weekly planner page. I like the simplicity. The design ticks a lot of boxes for me. I prefer a weekly vertical planner with 6 columns, don't need full columns for the weekend. Most planners have all those numbers for time, which I never use. I like the font, especially the all lower-case. The weather tracking is great too, simple icons that can be circled or filled in.

Having spent hours and hours of designing things that I may or may not end up using (physically and digitally), experiment your heart out! The pages turned out wonderfully. The migraine gloomie is such a mood as both my and my husband have been battling them and headaches the past few days. Thanks for bringing us along for another week 💜

Courtney

Adding to this now I’ve finished the video! I think all of us would definitely be interested in the planner pages! They’re really beautiful! I personally love the font and your handwriting 😊

Hayley Rawlingson

I really think we need patreon exclusive stickers with the quote ‘it’s just a weird week’ 😂! Absolutely love the planner spreads! I have a filofax clipbook myself and I love how you can just shift the pages around and re-use it time and time again! Looking forward to seeing the migraine gloomie when it’s finished (not sure if it is I’m only part way through the video at the moment). Take care ❤️

After 48hrs in hospital…I’m so pleased to see a notification pop up saying you’ve added a new video🙏🏻 Thankyou for sharing the new physical shop update. I’ve bought 1 of everything which I didn’t really need as I bought the digital versions previously. It just seems that much more exciting knowing that Megan Rhiannon herself has packed these up and sent them out lol!⭐️#fandom

It’s so interesting to see your experimentation of a ring planner. That system never worked for me personally but I can see why you are intrigued by moving the pages round and creating your own setup - the weather icons are too cute! For more ‘permanent’/long term pages, you could use hole reinforcers to protect the hole punches. I placed a physical order, had to do a little dance because I’m so excited. I wish you the best for packing the orders since I know it was stressful last time, remember to take it slow, engage with your special interests and go on walks because none of it is worth a burn out. Take care Megan❤️

I hope you're staying well and taking care of yourself as best you can. If it helps you feel any better, it's a wibbly wobbly time in my life rn too with lots of big and little changes and possibilities. I think tonight after dipping in for a friend's birthday celebration I'm going to sneak back home, snuggle my cat, read, and have a quiet night as best I can. Much love to you and Wednesday from a hot Iowa <3
