i'll have a proper update for you this evening with the video, but i just wanted to see if anyone had any feedback for the planner inserts? i'm considering listing them in the shop soon but was hoping to hear how some of you got on before i do!

Love so much your planner insert for A5 ring binder ! I have suits my need tracking my health because ME/FCS . Also having all in one book , so much easier !

2023-09-01 16:28:15 +0000 UTCI’m having this issue with the common place single sheets except it happens every few lines rather than the first half. What settings are you using (font size, baseline etc) to manage to get a full half to line up?

Also, I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong when printing, but I’m having a hard time seeing the illustration, has someone else experienced that? My printer should have black ink left so I don’t think that’s the issue, but I’m not sure 🙈

2023-05-22 00:38:37 +0000 UTCwait, that‘s a great idea☺️ unfortunately, we also don’t have a credit card in our household (they’re not so commonly used in Germany, so not too too many people actually have them), so buying from your shop is currently not an option for me either💔 I was so happy to see the planner inserts uploaded here (I was already contemplating who I could ask to borrow their card from or getting one for myself, and was getting more anxious about it than I’d like to admit, haha) and am just waiting for my heavier paper to arrive to get started🫀 I’ve already started using my ring planner again for brain drain purposes and the loose sheets are somehow that much more liberating for that purpose, which was much needed. so thanks for pushing my attention into that direction, Megan! By the looks of it, I’ll love your inserts once I get them printed🥰

I'm so excited that you are sharing these planner pages. I've been commonplacing for many years and have wanted to try rings, but never took the plunge. I loved your pages so much that I finally did it, and I am loving being able to move things around in the rings!

2023-05-19 18:58:43 +0000 UTCi can never manage to get it to work either! the grids are an even 5mm spacing so i’m not sure what the problem is. i normally do long typed portions in two sections on a page (if you look at my cd pages, you might be able to tell)! interesting that it hasn’t happened with the brain drain page though- they’re literally the exact same sheet duplicated and with lines added 💭 i wonder what causes it all. im also not good with tech 🥲

One thought: I was messing around with the commonplace pages digitally, and I can't seem to get text lined up properly with the grid lines on the whole page. At the top of the page the text will be lined up, but then I can't seem to get it lined up with the second half of the page even with adjusting line spacing, etc. I haven't had this issue with the "brain drain" page at all. This might be user error (lol I am not very good at technology) but just throwing it out there! Would love to be able to type out longer entries on the common place pages with the text aligning to the grid lines.

I'll make a copy over the weekend and pop it up here- if i forget please feel free to remind me again 🙇🏻♀️ maybe i should make a separate listing for digital use, so everything is centred (i think i had originally assumed that people could correct the edges themselves by cropping the images, but it was probably a bad assumption tbh!) 💭

2023-05-19 17:37:07 +0000 UTCCourtney has a couple of the questions covered (thank you!), but yes- absolutely okay to print in grayscale if you want/need to. i wouldn't mind offering some illustrated pages, but i think it would be hard to choose a theme that would suit everyone? maybe in future i could look at illustrating the calendars or some dashboards or something like that 💭

2023-05-19 17:31:45 +0000 UTCI printed the Week A & B pages in black & white, and those color blocks just came out grayscale, so for those I think you could go over with a marker to add color back. It'd be interesting to see some illustrations in B&W or just line work for coloring purposes! If you've downloaded the "printable planner pages (a5).zip" in the previous post, you should be able to unzip/uncompress the whole thing for all the files. The transparent PNG doesn't have a background vs the white background in the other.

I love the layouts, definitely need some editing for sizing for digital format (don’t need the space for holes) but I feel like it’s kinda what I’ve been looking for in a planner/journal/grimoire! edit to add: the only recommendation I have maybe would be to offer a sunday start for the monthly layout too! as someone who has a sun-sat work schedule it’s easier to visualize my months like that!

The grid is almost the same size as the Hobonichi weeks which I really like. I never thought I’d like a vertical weekly but I think the left column on each day is really nice.

I’m in Hobonichi Weeks & Hobonichi Cousin atm, but i’m thinking about trying to use double sided tape to try out some of them. although i unfortunately don’t have any more than black ink for my printer atm & i’d love to try it in colour too. here’s some questions/ thoughts from me: 1. would it be okay to print the pages in b&w? (i’m thinking particularly about the ones with illustrations on them since some of them already is in b&w). 2. how do you feel about maybe illustrating some in a b&w/grey scale? 3. when downloading the pages, do i have to download them one by one to be able to get them all? i downloaded “brain drain” & thought at first that all pages in that “folder” would be downloaded, but i just saw the “brain drain” file. 4. what’s the difference between “library card transparent a6” & the one that doesn’t have “transparent” in the title? can’t wait to see the new video! ✨ i’m going to watch the latest one again now ✨ thank you so much for sharing all of your work! 🙏🏼

So it's still got the weather/mood track bits, but maybe just __/__/__ for the date. That way it still looks like a planner page, and can be differentiated from the commonplace pages. Loving loving loving these designs though.
