hi everyone, i hope you're all doing okay!

thanks for your patience in waiting for the update this week. i visited with my brother on friday/saturday, and spent most of today filling in some of the june pages in my digital notebook experiment. i figured if i updated this evening i could show you as much as possible! 📓

i've been really enjoying the process, and attached some pages above for you. at the moment it's probably 50% backfilled from my physical tn booklet, and 50% new notes- a mixture of articles, quotes, films watched, thoughts on the idea of a digital notebook, small amounts of troubleshooting, etc. much to my surprise, i'm enjoying it all a lot more than i expected. i hope it's as interesting to you as my physical books! yesterday i experimented with scanning some post and I think it turned out really well! a big relief to know that i'll still be able to collect ephemera in the same way.

i've been working hard these last few days on getting june all filled up so i can order a test booklet- not only to see how these digital books might look printed out, but also because everyday gloom is the same format, so it'll be a good test of how that will turn out too. i have a couple more pages from the zine to share, but i'll pop them in the group chat tomorrow as i didn't organise them in time today.

lastly i just wanted to ask you all a question- you might have seen on the youtube community tab that i'm taking a little break from videos at the moment, or rather that content will be a little less scheduled for a while. this is to help me deal with some personal things at home, to hopefully avoid burn out/overwhelm while i deal with some medical stuff in july, and also to let me focus on getting everyday gloom finished so i'll be on schedule for halloween work in august/september 🎃

my question is whether you want me to make those sorts of announcements here first, or whether it's fine to be releasing one statement on the relevant platform? i had always thought it made sense to post youtube announcements on youtube to ensure everyone sees it, and hadn't considered posting here first because the videos aren't exclusive to patreon, even though they're posted slightly earlier. however, i received a pretty angry anon about it on tumblr (🥲) so i just wanted to ask everyones thoughts. i don't mind posting here first if you guys think that's what's appropriate! but please let me know, thank you.

that's all i have this week, i think! tomorrow i'll be going out with a few people to scout for halloween things appearing in tkmaxx/homesense, so i might film some clips if we find anything. the plan so far for the rest of the week is to order my test booklet, and carry on working on everyday gloom. now that my notebook is digital, it'll be a little easier to share pages/progress with you. i hope you'll look forward to seeing it 🙇🏻‍♀️ if you have any questions about it (or anything else) please feel free to ask below! i'll make sure to keep an eye on the comments over the coming days.
