Some Frets are FRETLESS Guitar

I am so excited to play maybe the world's first "Some Frets are Fretless" Guitar. We are still preserving the timbre of the classical guitar except the fretless frets. Thanks a lot to Simon the Magpie who inspired us back about this idea. On the video I played a Rast taksim by Murat Aydemir.

Thanks Stephen! Yes, this guitar keeps surprising us. I think the frets are too low on the standard guitar for this idea but one should try it first and see whether it works or not. All the best from Istanbul

I've never even thought of having hybrid "fretted & non-fretted" microtonal guitars. The LEGO microtonal guitar just keeps evolving, doesn't it? I can definitely hear the expressive sliding on the "fretless-frets" in the song you played there. I wonder why the physics of a guitar don't allow for "fret + fretless" approaches normally? Or maybe they do but they're some other mechanical issue. I have so many questions and am also very excited to continue to learn more about this awesome thing!
