Negative press!? Tell me more! The new age superstars I think do too much. Who dm I to say. But IMHO they do. LeBron started it.

Athletic Alchemy

(Been out on vacation, so late to the party) Easily had this game despite Curry playing absolutely half-interested. I don't know if it's rotation issues or locker room issues. Right now my theory is that Curry has a lot going on outside of basketball (like his big Free Party Friday in Oakland that got weird negative press, new baby, shoe marketing, moon landing shoes, etc.) Curry played a hell of a lot better in Sacramento and with a lot more joy. Ws should have had this game easy. Two Rockets starters out. Paint wide as hell open. Sure, Harden was going to go for 40 on high usage, but we let our perimeter defense go to shit, didn't make a single adjustment at half, played sloppy, and even though a lot of guys cared, we weren't sharp enough in the final 2 minutes to ice the game and it cost us in OT.

Thomas Ogas

I know we all freak out at how everything plays out this time of year, but sometimes I just wonder: do they really even care? A lot of them are just going to play, try out all sorts of stuff, and just think, "talk to me in April".

Matt M.

Where he is saying Steph is now playing 10 4th quarter mins?

Athletic Alchemy

In the moment I hate it.. but I must admit it has given us some regular season Intrigue.

Athletic Alchemy

Just watched this morning's Kerr Q&A.............. Whatever Lacob is doing.....don't take advantage of Steph.

Bailey

Yeah I like that! That’s a good take.

Athletic Alchemy

For sure... the difference is, is years past it was much more about them just dawgin it. There are legit chemistry and locker room concerns now.

Athletic Alchemy

I hate Steph's changed rotation. I don't know why Kerr is so insistent on playing KD and Klay together and having Steph play with the others. Let KD play alone and Steph and Klay run together. KD will be more than happy playing iso ball during that time, he doesn't care who is on the floor he can always get his shot. And Klay is at his most effective when running with Steph playing that old Splash bros ball. Cmon Kerr what is you doin

slamandjam2

If Houston turned it around from their terrible start this year, we can turn it around too. Still only 1.5 games out of first place. Close game, I still believe they'll right the ship.

Kyle Most

I'm kind of sick of this team's performance against better teams in the league. They've now lost to Denver, Milwaukee, OKC, Toronto x2, Utah and Houston x2. This team is just sleepwalking until Cousins' debut and hopefully they can gain some momentum after that. They really can't afford to have a major injury after Boogie comes back - wouldn't be so good to figuring things out.

I think switch KD snd Steph's mins will help so let Steph go back to playing the whole 1st and 3rd and let KD run the second unit... Also I think Curry should hold onto the ball more when Durant is seated... Anywho good looks Alc, this vid made me feel better...

Nsikan Usen

Great video Alc! I felt the exact same way when klay went up for that layup in OT. This game was one of the more disappointing games to watch as a warriors fan but fun as hell to watch as a basketball fan.

No player has the reffs in their pocket more than harden, as a result he gets to the FT line more than any player in the history of the NBA. Bottom line is there is a thin line between minuplating the reffs into giving free points at the line now and again and just playing a shady brand of basketball ball...can't stand dude.

Melo? he's a ball stopper so no thanks on that and we need a real center with DJ out over Vince Carter

He's right 2 dollars aint nothing to support a fellow fans passion. I'd love to see you over Nick Wright or Chris Carter in prime time....they both biased fan boys

Well-rested and play a statement game at Oracle...and our statement is "We Are In Trouble!". Pathetic.

Nirky

If Boogie wasn't on the horizon I wonder how aggressive Myers would be at the deadline.

Athletic Alchemy

yeah something closer

Athletic Alchemy

He totally did...and it felt like out of spite form not getting touches earlier. Steph does the opposite! He just mopes around if he is be neglected. The whole dynamic is weird.

Athletic Alchemy

He is! When those guys go into the iso most of the time thats it! They don't see anything else.

Athletic Alchemy

12:33 I disagree there because they had plenty of time on the shot clock but KD settled for that shot quickly. Klay and Curry were repositioning, which could have led to something better than a contested shot. That's not to say KD is a selfish player like many people think he is, but I think anyone can see that 4th quarter KD has a hero ball mentality this season. Note he had the SAME kind of shot at 1:07 seconds in the 4th quarter.

Paradox

feel like we could have got a better shot in the end there...

Mayansh Upadhyaya

Once the most feared arena to play in, Oracle is seemingly losing it’s mystique in their last season in Oakland. Guys, the number of home games is dwindling down and the narrative that the players don’t care or are coasting is absolute BS to me. We got blown out multiple times AT home in PRIMETIME games and you’d think they’d show up for at least one of them. The definition of coasting is when we are losing to underachieving teams that are catching us on a bad night but quite frankly losing to DEN, MIL, TOR, LAL, that’s not coasting, that’s just something else and considering 4 of those games were @ Oracle! Sure it’s just the regular season, but the Warriors need to start building habits of focusing down in crunch time against “good teams”. I don’t care about W/L against bad teams, show up to the good ones and give the Oracle fans one last send off!

man these rotations are killing me . hope they change it up soon. zo definitely needed more minutes this game, we could have used his presence on the offensive rebounding.... everyone seemed a little spaced out all around. look at Klay butt naked open under the hoop to win the game!? great video alch

Keith Waters

vince carter or melo would be a nice vet to trade for leadership

James Harden just had the biggest fuck you game in history with two insane 3s to put the game into overtime and to finish it. This is a top 3 offensive player in the game, a guy who's been 2nd in the MVP race for how many seasons now? Yet fans don't treat him with the same level of respect. You don't have to like his game but respect him as a scorer. Even Austin Rivers came out to play and had something personal with Steph lol. More and more Warrior fans have now started to see the over-usage of Steph off the ball. Maybe this is why we saw three quick PnR at the beginning of the game, ALL of which led to open shots but Steph missed all three short and didn't have the best 3 point game. I see this as a rhythm issue since he did the same thing in the 4th. But look how much little effort it took to get him that shot. I highly doubt this was all orchestrated by Kerr though. KD and Draymond. Man these guys have been getting on my nerves. Anyone notice how unfocused KD is on both ends of the floor? It's not entirely his fault, he has mediocre chemistry with Klay who also has a "my turn" mentality. Draymond's passes have been bad. Steph made some terrible turnovers too but they were more excusable from my perspective. A lot of their turnovers are from guys unwilling to step a few steps closer because of one word: laziness. Maybe we need to be more sympathetic about the burnout of being consecutive champions? Iono.

Paradox

Don't worry Alch we don't mind you putting this stuff on YouTube. In fact, you can do it more often to help promote your channel.

Paradox

Kerr been dealing with that back injury and weed is legal now, our boy been hitting the blunt too hard 😂

Andre Lazar

The stagger worked out ok during the WCF Rockets series. But as we can see by now.....not always because the team is different now.

Bailey

thanks! I think Curry is a smart and understands the match up should dictate who they go to. That said Im sure there are times he feels he has the match up. Again his strength is his weakness, he is never going to be rigid or bullish about it. Then you have KD who rightfully so, thinks he has the match up every time.

Athletic Alchemy

Love McKinnie's hustle on the boards though. Would def rather have House Jr over Damion Lee.. though of course gotta keep Steph happy giving his brother in law a job lol

Andre Lazar

I feel like I have been on his case quit a bit. Hard to say what the team will look like next year. Will Luke be available? Id lean towards more of a coaches coach... meaning a Nurse or Stevens type. A guy that learned it as a trade.

Athletic Alchemy

That's what Kerr drew up for the last possession at OT? Ridiculous. We are getting too predictable. I really blame all of our current blunders to Kerr.

adrian salazar

gotta give it to harden though... dudes a monster and i was suprised you didnt mention mckinnie getting picked over house jr. more🤪 u were rooting for him at the beginning of the season and he dropped 17 on us

Tony Stark

i love that monopoly analogy and how do u think steph feels about the kerr always going to KD on clutch situations? and the rotationnnn i hope he ends it soon.

Tony Stark

Im trying to work around the TNT copyright as we speak for the main channel.

Athletic Alchemy

Alch, haven't you by accident put the vid on the AA Overtime instead of the main channel?

Michel ten Voorde

It really needs to remain dynamic dependent on match up. IDK if their thinking was Houston has good switchers so KD is the better option? But lets say its OKC, then the ball should go to Steph rather than KD with PG or one of their long wings draped all over KD. Your right tho Ultimately KD is going to do what he wants. And all this worrying about it on and off the court is just hurting our case at this point.

Athletic Alchemy

Agree with you on most things mate, but it seems like you're being a bit too lenient with Kerr. He's having an absolute mare as a coach. i personally don't rate him as a coach or even as someone who "manages Egos", because as we've been reading, kerr hasn't done shit to help all the team drama. If for some reason kerr is to leave, who would be your pick to replace him?

Joshua Fayemi

No you right! Sometimes I get caught up in finishing one point I leave out another. But last night live I hated the quick shots. Then the not quick enough one to go two for one.

Athletic Alchemy

Yo Alch, I agree with you with damn near everything you say usually, but i got exceptionally heated from the period at 1:22 left in the 4th, up 6, we have the ball. To me, we lost this game because of a blatant disreguard of math, as well as KD, and steph later, wanting the fame of hitting that dagger 3. I mean, if we just hold the ball for the full shot clock and huck an iso 3 each possession, we pretty much win. It makes no sense to just hoist one up at the beginning of the shot clock. I also think this is on steve kerr, its his responsibility to tell them to use clock if they for some reason dont understand how important that is in that instance.

Sevrin Weiss

I liked the staggered Curry?KD minutes in the 1st 3 quarters, but not only as you said the 2nd unit loses its identity, I can't comprehend how in a tied game with 5 minutes left Curry is not on floor. And everyone keeps saying, with the game on line, KD is the go to, but it simply has been proven otherwise with all our late game losses. He's gonna do what he's gonna do in the offseason. Who's the best shooter in the game? Who's team is this? Last shot to win should be in Curry's hands, if he kicks it out to an open Klay or Durant fine, but thats what we all want to see. Can Curry take it home. Durant loves the dagger but with a bit of time to spare, Curry loves the buzzer. +1 on Klay looking for his all star spot, really cant blame him for it and at least his shot looking wet and hopefully it stays that way btw the word play is chronic Alch, keep it up

Stevie Ray

Yeah, I concede maybe I'm being a bit dramatic with being tired of KD. But honestly I love to see good team ball and watching this team grown from before their first chip to this really hurts man. Seeing Steph have to kiss up to KD as if KD is the franchise player hurts. That's not what got us to where we are now.

Ciara Dean

Watching that game, my step dad and I were watching the game get closer in that third quarter and then the fourth and all we could say is if they lose this game they deserve to lose it. They get too comfortable with these big leads and let them dwindle away while the other team is still pushing trying to get back into the game. Last year they would’ve stepped on teams throats in the third quarter so they could get some rest. What is going on this year?

Kahlil Baker

I agree Kerr is too worried about being liked. Said that in my last live. But at some point Steph needs to take control of the situation instead of passive aggressively go through the motions.

Athletic Alchemy

I agree though I don't think Durant needs to go..I just think roster changes mean we have to adjust and that takes time especially when there are injuries. Just stay the course!

Tre

see my comment below. All this is true, but at what point does Steph say enough and take control?

Athletic Alchemy

"The only guy who can stop Curry is Curry"; gonna have to disagree with you there Alch. Kerr can stop Curry and his rotations have completely disrupted the offensive flow. Warriors offense should be flowing through Curry with Klay getting looks off ball, KD fitting in and Dray setting hard screens in the pick and roll. Why have we gone away from that? Too predictable? Beyond that this game was embarrassing on a defensive effort in my opinion. Way too many guys were wide open for 3 and they hit them in the second half. Every team is raining threes on us because we're over helping in the paint so we can't recover to the arc. But 3>2 and we know the Rockets (and everyone else) want the 3 ball so why are we overcommitting? Steph hates the rotations and the fact that he's not being treated like the face of the franchise that he is. Klay is desperately trying to get into the All Star game to impress his new lady. Draymond is just embarassing on those turnovers. KD looks over this shit and Livingston and Igoudala look disengaged and lazy. All this is at the feet of Kerr. He's royally screwed up this season by trying to appease everyone and be their friend instead of being a Coach and kicking their ass a little to get everyone in line. The whole Western Conference is hungry and fighting and we are losing games we need to win! We have a losing record against teams above 0.500 and have been blown out several times at home. Just embarassing.

Andre Lazar

EXACTLY! KD at the end of the 4th with 6 straight possessions where he didn't pass to ANYONE. I'm sorry, but people forget so quickly how clutch Steph is. KD iso will never be as effective as running the ball through Steph like we've always done. I'm not even saying Steph has to take the last shot either. Go to my comment at the top of this comment section to see what Steve Kerr said. That makes all of this make sense. And it's very idiotic on Kerr's part, and management as well.

Ciara Dean

Someone please remind me who is the franchise player and had the hot hand all game? Or is there a "closer" clause in KD's 2018/2019's contract? I'm baffled! Steph is basically becoming Kyle Korver nowadays. Even to start the fourth he wasn't the primary ball handler. Like what's going on? Either he doesn't wann take bad shots or he's not feeling good about the whole trust me with the ball situation. Something's off. Dude had the hot hand all game. And KD had the green light to keep choking up heavily contested one legged fadeways and 3 pointers. Someone tell me this is a test or mid-season team game

ItsWhATItIs

I saw this as a tale of two halfs, hero ball/2nd half, splash bro ball / 1st half. We see wish version of the warriors beat hou in games 6 n 7

Why did I know harden would do this to us if we let it go to OT..I hate the man but boy did he hit some tough shots. Steph needs the ball in his hands more and Kerr has to put Steph in earlier in the 4th.

Tre

Yo Alch as much as warriors messed up this game, that man James Harden ive never seen a player get away with breaking the rules of the game so many times. Its getting embarassing. The travelling, foul calls etc.

This was reported on Twitter: "Steve Kerr on the bad 3rd quarter: 'I don't know if Kevin Durant touched the ball for about 5-6 minutes. That can't happen. We've got to do a better job of getting him the ball'. KD only had 12 shots through the first 34 minutes, which helps explain 7 shots over the final 3:35...". This has got to be the most idiotic mindset of Steve Kerr. This explains why the team is falling apart. He's making it about les get KD his shot instead of give the ball to the person with the hot hand (Steph). Honesty ready for KD to go, this is bs.KD choked, Period. 6 straight possessions at the end of the 4th without passing the ball to ANYONE. Horrible shot selection. Steve Kerr's rotations are horrible too. He acts like there's a deep bench. The hell do you look like benching Steph in the middle of the 4th. The problem is Durant shouldn't be the closer. The hot hand should be the closer. And the fact that he didn't pass during 6 STRAIGHT possessions is a problem. When you don't pass you can't get a better shot if you're the "closer". Bad decision making for him to be the closer. Curry's ball IQ is higher by far. He has more game winners under 10 seconds or less than KD but people act like Steph is a scrub. Lol.

Ciara Dean

Good idea!
