As the hate KD gets from us is out of proportion with his failings. KD by no means had a perfect game however he 100% had a decent one. 33pts, 9 boards, 3ast, 2blks. One +/- shy of the highest +/- on the floor (Loon was #1). The regular season is where we work out kinks and get perfect for the games that matter most. And that’s exactly what's happening. Episode 18-Basketball over everything with KD and Gilbert Areans (1.24.19) GI is like if you take away Steph and Klay you'd average 45, KD response was, I don't even want to, I want to get mine in the flow, a lot of players can hold down go and score a lot of points, but the next level is watching film, learning from mistakes, with the goal of being perfect. Its so obvious that is truly where KD's head it at, however he makes mistakes, and he made a lot last night, I just ask that We don't become a nation over run by Stephadicians as I love SC30 and KD, and the only thing that can stop us is us.

Again, no one complains about KD going iso - it's about whether he does it too much in certain situations. That's one of the best strategies when defense is locked down. His possessions this game were questionable in the 4th quarter like Kyrie's.

LOL this fan base makes me laugh. You got maybe the best scorer in the history of the game in KD and you win a game against maybe the 2nd best team in NBA and you still complain about KD going Iso. Its like complaining about curry pulling from 32ft. I think we need to appreciate him before this historic Run is over. You dont know what you have till its gone!

Not trying to hate on KD but a funny story I read was that at one point he yelled at the scorer's table to count something as a turnover rather than a shot attempt.

Steph early looked horrible but got those 4 treys in a row in the second quarter. Idk who to blame when it comes to him not getting any shots up in the fourth. He didn't look like he was moving with purpose the entire game with the exception of that second quarter. I don't know why hes passive on these kind of big games. Obviously you have to look at the physical defenders on Boston and the way they play, but it is still not an excuse for the caliber of player he is.

AA great call on Smart being the guard version of Green, doesn't it seem like almost all really good D first guys are kind of wacked? Alvin Robertson, Mad Max, Artest, The Glove, Rodman, Draymond...I'm not saying stupid, just not all there. And Dray has been better these last games, but then we have been winning. Also talking about great D guys that have a screw loose, Kawhi is off as well, maybe it helps.

One thing I've noticed this season is that when Curry gets into early foul trouble, like he did in this game, it usually means he goes off when he gets back into the game. I think the early benching makes him focus more or something. I've noticed it frequently this season

I'm new and I've been reading a lot of comments about KD any how selfish he is and how he isn't playing in the flow of the offense tbh I get why fans are saying that but when you are a HOF top 5 elite scorer of all time ego tends to show on court, steph himself have to put his foot on floor... With KD fans gotta realize you gotta take the goods and the negatives and those goods as brought them 2 titles. There are times where I'm yelling at my TV "GET YOUR HEAD IN THE FUCKING GAME KD" When he makes those dumb passes that cost them points or when he's on chill mode on D and like everyone says he can go too much iso at times. When he plays in the flow of offense I think thats when he's at his Apex cause he can get 35 on like 17 shots. Then if I'm steve Kerr i don't blame him for going iso with him either cause the Man is one of the elites and he has delivered many many times. At the end of the day they got the W and they on a 10 game winning streak with lost of games too go so this can be worked out.

GSW didn't flip the switch defensively until less than 5 min left in the 4Q. They were really just playing at around 75% effort for 3.5 quarters while BOS was giving everything they got. And, let's be honest, if GSW played small with Draymond/Looney at the 5 the whole game, this game isn't even close. Looney was +13 and the death lineup defense the last 5 min was clamps. I don't see BOS coming out of the east. I've been watching them, they got serious issues. They don't have the playmakers that TOR and PHI have and I can't see them beating MIL either. BOS doesn't have playmakers, they rely way too much on guys shot-making. I can argue they don't even have a PG. Kyrie is not a PG. His main agenda is getting buckets. Did you see what happened when GSW finally decided to double him? Forced like 3 or 4 TO's in the 4Q. In the playoffs, all you gotta do is throw traps at Kyrie

hey alch i just get a feeling like KD has a sort of wannabe-bigteam-killer mentality..hes fine with taking 10shots and 20 points on tuesday Magic games like "yo steph u do this one" and than he gets iso-in-the-4quarter for the big shots kind of tunnel vision in these marquee matchups or in the finals.. part of the reason why i think steph doesnt have a fmvp.. also mckinnie nver relocates to steph and takes the 3 lol but cant complain i suppose

It’s something that’s going to have to play out. I think Steve May risk taking a L to show him why he may have to pull him later on. At least that’s how I’d play it.

The amount of effort for the bucket is a bit excessive, but there are few scorers with ice cold enough for the bright lights of May and June. Kyrie is one of a select few of champions in this current epoch, but to your point, it may not actually be whats best for this squad's development and coaching style. If I had to put my paycheck on it, Toronto comes out of the East.

I don't know what to take from this with steph out of the offense and kerr weird lineups and kd trying to go at kyrie like he is a guard this was just one strange game.

We seem to increase our pick and rolls during tight playoff games, esp. Curry & KD. They will come.

Curry 1 fucking FGA in the 4th qtr, atrocious on Curry and Kerr.

This game brought out the best of Draymond and the worst of KD. Draymond pushed the pace as usual. But more importantly, he assisted Curry on almost every 3. He is maybe the only guy who finds Curry quickly when he's in off ball relocation mode. He's consistently higher in offensive rating than Klay and KD for this reason. I do wonder what will happen if he doesn't resign next season. I'm getting tired of KD slowing down the pace and just nonchalantly walking up the court. His plays just scream ego. I've talked about his unwillingness to take half court heaves, this game being the most obvious example of that. If you care too much about your stats over your team success, pass it to someone else. All the hero ball isolation plays in the 4th quarter were unnecessary, it's like he was having a fun 1 vs 1 battle with Kyrie to see who can hero ball more. Do this on your own free time, not in an actual game. As bad as Draymond is from the free throw line, it's hilarious he actually shoots better than LeBron. Klay really deserves some better accolades for his defense. I know in an interview Kyrie said it was ridiculous Klay never made 1st team defense.

Still frustrating to watch KD not guarding the perimeter and then selling out by doing a trial for the Olympic Long Jump. Come on dude, you have a 7 foot wingspan you don't need to be doing that. I also still don't get why GSW doesn't seem to run simple pick and rolls more often when they seemed to struggle getting any offense done with how Boston bothers passing lanes. Other than that it was a fun game, more from the defensive action than anything else, and seeing Uncle Drew get his pocket picked by Boogie twice made my day.

Fantastic game, watched at Hometown Heroes and it was lit. Defense plus sloppiness on the turnovers for both teams at the end of the game. Not trying to hate on KD because we needed his points on this one but those turnovers were pushing it. You know how if your girl is at the game you play your mind out and start stunting for her? I think KD kinda does that when Kyrie is around.. he is always gushing about Kyrie's game. I think that's partially why he had the iso goggles on and ended up with those TOs.. trying to flex for his boy 😂

As time goes on and the playoffs arrive, do you think Demarcus will eventually be upset with Kerr about possibly not having him in close games because of the matchup? I wonder about that as he begins to feel better, gets his legs under him, and believes he's more deserving of the sport b/c he's Demarcus (HOU, BOS, etc.)

Hated cox when I was going to school in Tucson, great game though, my favorite part of watching the warriors is klays defense on the leagues best guards. It's like he's dancing with them moves every step stays in front of them. The best guards will always score but he never makes it easy for them.
