In what other sport is there more talk about where players MIGHT be playing next season, than talk about the current games/season? What other athletes are subjected to so much scrutiny over off-season decisions when they're still in the midst of a season?
With that being said, I'm extremely frustrated by the KD off-season drama, not entirely because I think it's a forced narrative by the media that draws more attention than the current games ... but because I can see that there's some indecision on the part of KD about his future. That indecision is caused, in large part, by his close friends/advisers.
This DREAM of going to the NYK to revitalize a suck-ass franchise and be a mega star (like KD isn't already one) is entirely Rich Klienman's dream. KD has never given a single fuck about the Knicks past or future. Nor has KD ever expressed an interest in being a mega diva basketball ego (like Lebron). All KD ever talks about, or seems to desire, is to play good basketball, work on his craft, excell at his craft, and play to the best of his abilities when it matters most. The dude deflects praise. He talks about team basketball. He even gave all the attention to his mother and his team when he got the MVP.
No where deep inside KD is a ego-maniac trying to get himself into the biggest, brightest spotlight by tackling the biggest, most impossible basketball challenge of his career. He just wants to ball and finds peace and comfort on the court. BUT his close friend/adviser keeps trying to sell him on this big dream. Keeps pushing and urging KD to step out of his comfort zone and embrace this new, major challenge. KD is showing that stress. He's torn between what he loves and wants to keep doing ... and what people he trusts are telling him he should give it all up and embrace this new dream.
Klienman's dream. Not KD's. That's the real internal struggle.

You want to kill the rumors, open your fucking mouth. KD did exactly the opposite, he went and hid, like it's already decided. Ask and ye shall receive...

I think he'd driving Zaza into retirement...

I completely agree. The media these days talk just about drama and not actual basketball. KD has a right to be angry and frustrated. It pisses me off that media members are writing stories about players and are controlling the narrative because of an agenda, rather than talk about basketball and educating fans. There are some exceptions like Zach Lowe, Nate Duncan, Danny Leroux, Jared Weiss, and some others who talk actual basketball.

I have the Curry 6's and the 2's and from my experience so far the Curry 2's have worse traction on dusty courts. I was slipping more with the Curry 2's surprisingly than with the Curry 6's. I know people have complained that theres a lot of room between your feet and the shoe, so idk if that has to do with it. Either way, the red color way was definitely an issue. He was wearing those when he slipped in Staples. I think Steph is just easily disengaged at times especially since hes ready for the sllstar break. That being said, he was efficient in this game despite starting 0-4.

Ethan strauss needed to be called out by KD. I get the media have a job and gotta earn money but it comes to a point like does everything have to be about drama etc. I would like to know how much basketball these reporters etc watch because I think they write their opinion pieces based off nonsense

Iguodala has been having an amazing season--his best since the first chip, I think. Tight on defense, explosive on offense. And why not? They're so loaded, they can rest him if he needs it toward the end of the regular season and have him fresh and super-confident going into the playoffs.
I think the Warriors--especially Steph--are primed for an explosion after the ASG. They have looked a lot like they have been biding their time, but the last month or so, it seems to me like they're starting to wake up and smell the post-season.
Durant just gonna Durant. That efficiency...and him calling out Ethan Strauss was pretty funny.

I think KDs got a hip pointer/funny bone like situation. Looked like his R hip landed on Mills bony, pointy ass shoulder. If it caught him just below the hip bone, that shit can sting for a minute. Could be Steph subconsciously knowing about shoes, or it could just be ASG malaise, like you said. Seems to happen every year. The slip near the basket was odd, because his right foot came down earlier than he expected and the sole on the very front grabbed the court and rolled forward. Like he needed to reach his right foot out further but didn't trust his left Leg to stabilize long enough for that to happen. That usually happens when someone isn't subconsciously comfortable being on the other leg (his left) by itself as long as they need to be (could be the shoes, not trusting them to hold long or stabilize leg long enough to get the R leg/foot where it needed to be), or he could just need a recharge to his nervous system and his body is kind of stuck in slow motion. Or like most things man, could be a little of both. And being 34 going on 35, Iggy is the product of new food education and training regiments that even 5-7 years ago noone had a clue would be that effective. I also think he knows it's almost over and he just wants to have fun again man. I know on days I feel good physically (I know you do too), you kind of know in the back of your mind it's few and far between, so you give more because you miss how fun it used to be. Now put that together with a top 1% athlete with all the money and resources to be that way most of the time. I'm happy for him man. Looks like first time he's had fun on the court since the first chip. They also have so many weapons now, he can just catche dudes by surprise. And you know how much he likes fuckin wit people mentally like that. I'm also wondering if he had some stem cell treatment in the offseason. That shit has been doing wonders for people if your lucky enough your body responds well to the type they use. He really could feel like he's got new knees, because they maybe 10 years younger. Keep killing it Alc. You the only reason I'm still on patreon.

I still don't think kd is leaving, what's the point? Get a couple of 50 point games be the top dawg... Sooner or later you end up like lebum saying you need help, gotta learn to happy with what you got. The media only focuses on what LeBron can do that kd doesn't do, which is lead g Leaguers to the finals, that doesn't make him the goat, at the end of the day he's 3-6 in the finals, and kd could stick around and get another 5 rings if he wanted.. if his accomplishments are diminished because there isn't a big enough challenge, that's not on him, that's on the rest of the league to present the challenge.

Although he doesn’t handle it well, I can understand his frustration. All week the New York talk is as if KD has already spoken about heading to the East and exploring serious options with the Knicks. But I mean, that’s what those fools do, they’re paid to fill shows with talk and articles with headlines. It obviously doesn’t affect his game but I wish just for his overall health he’d put things a bit into perspective and hopefully sign long term deal next year wherever he decides.

Steph needs to wear whatever the heck he was wearing in the beginning of 2018 season. I'm assuming those were Curry 5s, which seems a lot more low top than the Curry 6s but still had bad traction apparently.

Iggy turn-around three had me out of my seat when I saw it last night lmfao. Also I’d be hype af if you streamed the game. Idk if you would be broadcasting the game along with your live reaction (given potential copyright issues) or if you would just have a stream of your reaction and thoughts on the game while we watch it on our own at the same time. I’m down for either.
Also I haven’t really felt too threatened by any of the trades that have gone down, but Mirotic to the Bucks is a problem-problem. I wish the Warriors could get someone like Ariza.

Before I saw KD going ham in the postgame presser, on the court he looked super locked in like when he gets trash talked on the court by opposing players so it was almost like a preview of things to come. Also when he was dunking he was trying tear the rim down, hanging on the rim, tapping backboard almost looking for a tech... I read an article about him wondering why most ppl still had him under Lbj after the '17 Finals and wanting that respect fans seem reluctant to give... This shit really is a Soap Opera, but it makes the storyline pop... He's gone is where I'm getting at... I think us Gsw fans should just be ready for it... Great vid btw bro...

i dont play ball so i wouldnt know how players would feel their shoes out, but i *feel* that curry knows if something is up with his shoes. is it absolutely required that he wear his newest revisions of the 6s? is it a paycheck per game? in the mountain bike world (where i play/compete), sponsored riders with unfinished beta equipment would straight up ride whatever they need to (minus frame/suspension) but black out the decals. would he risk injury for a paycheck? i guess it could be seen as a form of product testing, haha
