yeah they have to play games with in the game at times to stay occupied thru the grind. But aye we are in the middle of a fight for 1st place.

It has been kinda of taboo to criticism him amongst dubnation. Maybe I over compensate a bit. When I play I am a serious dude, so its hard for me to understand how lose he gets at times.

Im not convinced Kerr will keep it this way. But I like it better than before I think Steph plays better in longer stints

Might not be a great idea to put KD in that Klay/Boogie lineup as it may be "too" many options and can bog down the offense. Though it will depend on if Klay is off or not
2019-03-21 01:22:55 +0000 UTC
I mean every time KD is open, he is at the 3 point line. It's not like he is posting up at the elbow for a 2 point jumper. However even if he does pass it to KD at the 3 point line, it's unknown whether he'll shoot it or just pass it around
2019-03-21 01:19:47 +0000 UTC
Alchemy, I'm glad you brought up KD. It has to be brought up. Since the All Star break things been funky. Example: when KD threw the ball to Cousins then they both threw the ball back and forth. I saw the same thing with Klay vs the Spurs. Call it what it is. There is a lot going on right now: 1) end of a long season and nobody wants to get hurt, 2) headed to the playoffs where things get tight, 3) KD's issues of will get leave or stay, 4) will the Cousins experiment pay off, 5) will KD ever recover from what Draymond said and did? KD is kind of a strange dude. Like, why the fu*k doesn't he just get some super fine looking Oakland honey and chill? KD is just wrapped up so tight, the little things set him off. One thing Kerr can do is not make a bad situation worse. Kerr is damn good at keeping drama under wraps, and I bet Kerr is working overtime to keep the image of cool as a cucumber, but you know the locker room is probably a little awkward. KD is watching Mike Trout and Bryce Harper get HUGE money bags, and they aint got no championships. KD wants to make a splash in the playoffs, so he can win another ring, and friggin break the NBA bank. He wants headlines. These next 12 games at the end of the season, I expect KD to work on assists, and jumpshots, and not play aggressive at all. Then, in the playoffs really show his stuff.

And Alc you are too harsh on our guy the chef, the dude deserves more credit for his effort. If he is even 1% more like Westbrook/lebron/harden inherently, this lineup we have will not work. He is always the core of this team.

Looks like Kerr has tweaked his rotations and is now set with Curry and Draymond playing together the entire 1/3Q. Cousins and Klay will obviously start 2/4Q. I think we should continue to stagger KD and have him start the 2/4Q but we'll see. Will be interesting to see how Kerr uses Bogut bc Looney is definitely a rotation player.

I could see it... the final piece to turning heel. It’s got to be Klay, Dray slowing down already.

Alc, great content as always. Steve Kerr changed his rotation, in particular re his two sharpest knives, chef and kd. Do you think this playoff rotation is working well? I still think the chef, despite his revival last night, is still finding his rhythm and Bogut is helping a lot. Boogie, as good as he is as a scorer, is too much for the dubs system because he will never be Bogut.

I think after all this BS kd just reups just to troll all of us. If that happens warriors will have to make decision between klay and dray? Who do they choose

Klay commands respect from everyone, especially naturally talented players, because Klay is always giving 100% in spite of his natural attributes. It's motivating and attractive, especially if a naturally talented player like KD is second guessing himself. No Chill, as you say.

If that's the reason they don't 'respect' steph then they're massive hypocrites. Steph makes more of an effort to guard those 'elite' pgs, than they do to guard him. The only ones who even try are Wall, Cp, Conley maybe, and kyrie(and he only does it for a few possessions). The rest of the elite guards Dame, harden, Westbrook don't even try to guard him...

Glad you gave some props to McKinnie for his weak side D. I really like McKinnie because he knows his role and his limitations and seems to always be giving his all. He's fast, has good hands, and is crazy athletic. I think of him as a rookie because this is his first year of NBA ball. His prior experience in semi-pro didn't teach him the fundamentals of defense and shoot making. Give the guy a chance to learn and learn from his mistakes and I think we'll see a very solid and reliable rotation guy going forward.

I also think Klay knows what he’s doing. It seems he understands KD is not the greatest spot up shooter and at the time KD wasn’t that hot. He was just looking to keep the momentum going. I can see how that could rub KD wrong. To be fair he bought this on himself. With all the speculation in the media about KD leaving to knicks. It certainly does not help KD Steph Klay chemistry moving forward. Certainly, that dynamic was at play and it will continue through out the season.

It seems KD is trying to conserve himself coming back from injury. Seeing all the articles in the media about warrior ball movement without KD might have made him think differently about his own game.

It is so nice to see JJ playing again. I feel like he hasn't played in months. The fact that he played well and was hitting shots was great to see. I think, if his body holds out, he will be a great contributor in the postseason.

Jerebko the 4th splash brother.
I always thought KD and Draymond competed for distributing at the top of the key. They both want the assists. I'm not really sure this is an optimal way of playing however. It's just too obvious when they're not looking to score so these possessions often result in turnovers as the opposing team reads the passing lanes.

KD didn’t seem very aggressive that game at all. Why do you think Klay always misses KD wide open on the opposite side of the court?
