When asked why GS doesn't run a lot of PnR, Steve Kerr said this "if you are doing PnR over and over again the other 3 guys are just standing there. and they kind of lose some juice. You have to get everybody involved" What's your take on this?

Here's an interesting stat: Iguodala had 5 steals, 3 of them led directly to a shot, two Klay threes and a Livingston left handed layup, for a total of 8 points. I think those were all critical times in the game. The first one led to Klay's first three, then another three for Klay to cut it to 1 in the third quarter, and the final one which was converted into a livingston layup to tie it up in the fourth quarter. Iggy was all over the place offensively(5 threes) and defensively(5 steals).

yeah i saw that vid. It revealed a lot about Kerr's philosophy. I thought the same as you about his comments. Using PnR doesn't mean others are not involved necessarily. It opens up so much for the other guys too.

There's some advanced stat (forget what it's called) that measures shots created for teammates (much better than just pure assists) and Steph ranks as one of the top players of all time in that stat.

This was probably the best win since game 6 of the 2016 WCF. The magnitude of everyone's legacies being on the line and being able to out execute a team with skill and decisive attacks makes me put in perspective how the Warriors can change the landscape of the NBA, even without winning a championship. They have went from an irrelevant team led by Mike Dunleavy to every moment this team is apart of could determine how teams go out and perform throughout the year is incredible.

It's just absolutely sad we don't spam PnR more. BBALLBREAKDOWN actually asked Kerr why he doesn't run more PnR and his response was (paraphrasing): "When you just run PnR, you have 3 guys just standing around. You don't really get them involved" But isn't that the case most of the time when we run a motion offense? Especially when KD is healthy and we don't have any sense of desperation like we did tonight and 4th quarter of last game? Usually at least two guys standing still. A lot of our PnR actually involves at least 3 players to work. Look at that last Klay Thompson 3 where Curry being doubled led to Draymond drive, kick out to Iguodala and pass to Klay. There is something miscalculated with Kerr's philosophical approach. He wants to get bench players and role players involved yet he thinks PnR is mutually exclusive to that. We couldn't have won this game without PnR starting from the 2nd half.

Regarding all the hot takes on the bench. No, the bench didn't all of a sudden become good. It's not good, but it's not bad either. They are typical bench players. Yes, Klay's shooting kept us in the 1st half but so did Curry. Yes, Curry. Those bench role players we got ain't doing anything if they don't have the spacing created by Curry's gravity. Curry allowed the floor to be wide open for them. That's what bench players are. They're not good enough to do it on their own. They rely on the spacing created by superstars to make their impact.

I think you remember me being the negative nancy before this series even started saying Rockets in 6. After game 4, I was adamant that Id be right. After KD went down, I saw the entire dynasty flash before my eyes. But then somehow some way the Warriors came through. It would be extremely disappointing to not come away with a 3peat after this series victory. These Warriors getting a 3peat would ultimately solidify them as the best team ever assembled and silence all critics. 4 titles in 5 years. Going through all the adversity they did. Damn. Imma be real, game 7 of last year was still slightly more satisfying because the Warriors were the ones who had their backs against the wall in teams of series score. But I agree with you, after losing KD, everyone felt the narrative change to "The Warriors are expected to lose" and that was enough of a spotlight.. Ill still be really upset to not take down Kawhi or the Freak in the finals (let alone getting past Jokic or Dame), but I will definitely savor this victory. I think after a 4 year battle of all TALK, the Warriors have hands down put this rivalry to bed. Not then, not now, and not anytime soon will the Rockets be on the Warriors level. Only if Klay/Steph/Dray all fall off their prime, or a bunch of key pieces leave. Just like you, I was hard on Iguodala all year during the regular season cuz of how terrible he looked at times. Sitting at home watching has got to give him some prospective. Then again maybe thats just me hoping it does. Do you think this warriors team(with kd) could beat the Milwaukee bucks if both teams reach the finals? These past couple years have told me not to doubt the warriors, but I can't help but think the bucks are in a prime position to finally dethrone these warriors. This warriors team is the most injured it has been in years while Milwaukee has pretty much had the easiest road to the conference finals, playing GIannis only 32 mins/game. The bucks also seem to have the most reliable depth in these playoffs, having 10 guys they can roll out and trust in crunch time.

I honestly don't care if the Warriors win the title. I am just really glad the Rockets won't get it. Their style and antics, in my opinion, are just not befitting a championship team. I agree with several of your points. Klay will never get his due credit, simply because of the players he is with. Honestly, though, he seems the type of dude to be cool with that. He is not an ego player. He doesn't make things about himself. He is about winning, about showing up, and about hard work on both ends of the court. Draymond really does get screwed on some of these of calls. I saw several rebounds that Capela clearly went over his back, and they either didn't call it, or they called a foul on Draymond. Finally, I agree Looney needs paid. The dude is not only working hard, he is showing that he isn't as one dimensional as people think, showing all kinds of tricks. As far as our next opponent, I am hoping for Portland over Denver, just because Lillard and Steph always put on light shows when they play each other.

Fantastic! I loved the Jerebko hard foul, smart play. Andrew's passing, settling effect in the beginning and Capella didn't really want to challenge Andrew, he' pay more dividends later. Bell was ready and solid and S dot turned back the clock a bit. But as I said yesterday, and now knowing he rebuffed Steph and told he to go sit, my highest praise is for Steve, he got his players to believe because those players that have been sitting and sitting knew from past runs that eventually they would get a chance. Brilliant use of players.

For sure one of the most satisfying wins I can remember as a fan. Beating the first seed Mavs was dope. But these dudes are clowns, saying they are built to beat us, and they just need CP not injured next year to get it done. And they lost to us without DC and KD. Thank god this conversation is over. I know this one had to feel good for the Warriors fans (I'm more of a general NBA fan but really like high level play...ad thus the warriors. Also, I think Alch is the only genuine breakdown dude on YouTube with some flare to his style that isn't a complete fake ass/lame ass/corny ass dude, but still smart). Couple thoughts outside of this video: -Kevon Looney deserves to get paid. I want to see him get a bag after not getting his money in last year's market. -Klay deserves a max and your team should be happy to pay taxes for him. -I actually think...this whole scenario and the way it's playing out might make KD stay, or at least the chances feel higher now. -Steph is a legend, and I really hope this stops the low-IQ narrative that he isn't clutch in the playoffs. -As a neutral fan that loves good play, I fucking hate the Rockets so much and now that their bitch asses are out of the playoffs, I really am okay with whatever happens in these playoffs lmao. -I get the sense that warriors fans kind of feel the same way if KD isn't able to make it back for some reason.
