I didn't know he was a part owner as I recorded it. I think that does make it worse. I cut a pod with James today discussing it more. He brought up a great point I had not considered. But overall I don't like the social out cry. Punish him and move on.

Alchemy I have to say this was the first time I disagree with your take. The guy that hit Kyle was a part owner of the Dubs and should have known better. The players have no way of defending themselves in that situation. I have to stay objective regardless of the player, even though Kyle can be a pain in the ass.

Toronto hit flukey shots it's so frustrating to watch

2019-06-07 14:45:27 +0000 UTC
This was a letdown plain and simple. Steph came to play and gave the team the boost it needed. I think this game was lost mentally before it began. The team wasn’t locked in or believed they could win... except Steph, like you said. If GS sold out on defense and screened for Steph to get good looks, it would’ve gave them a better chance at winning. Notice how Toronto scrambles when Steph has the ball off of a miss, their transition D isn’t good (unless when Quinn goes up for a cupcake lay up). Toronto was HOT, and give them credit, but it never felt like GS had no chance. It looks like it in hindsight but effort and focus is what lead to them winning game 2. I think mental fatigue could be setting in but I also think they aren’t looking at this as possibly the end of their run. They aren’t playing with urgency.
A dream scenario would be for GS to win this series and let Lowry know he’ll never get this far again. Preferably Draymond telling him that, and Danny Green runs like he takes pipe pre-game. I don’t hate anyone cause that’s not how I role, but their character on the floor is disgusting. Winning 3 out of the next 4 is a tough task, but if it’ll be anyone to do it, it’s GS. Plus Toronto is hobbled too. So we can only use the injury excuse so much. If they can get to a game 7 in Toronto, I really like their chances. Lowry were the bed at home, and will fold in the end.
It ain’t over yet

You're absolutely right on all your points. But I think GSW made the right move sitting Klay. It is a must he is on the court the rest of the series. We just need to get this back to TOR 2-2. I have a feeling EZ Money Sniper will make his appearance G5. Then you know what's next.

Im just bummed because this could have been a great series if we were healthy, the Raptors are that good but we are severely outmatched talent wise especially without Klay. I aint dissapointed in the team though, we played with alot of effort but were just outgunned especially if Torontos going to hit threes like Houston

The Warriors go as Steph goes, but that's on the offensive end. We lost this game because Dray didn't step up defensively. They gave 17 pts to Gasol. Unacceptable. The Warriors' defense goes when Dray goes. And he didn't do that in Game 3.

Quin hustle! Livingston this is your last finals, shit act like you’re about to retire and give it your all! And DC for the love of God, score on these hoes! Klay about to come back. I hope we can pull off a W in game 4. If not, KD get your BA on the court for game 5, IDGAF how you feel, if you scoot on your ass you will still have a height advantage on Toronto’s PGs. I'm not that hard on them - these guys just aren't used to playing together in this kind of situation and they started really slow. But once they got going they were outplaying Toronto except for those damned threes that they seemed to always hit once the Dubs got it down to 7 or 8, the whole second half. I thought the killer was Tronto getting the first six points of the 2nd half, which pushed it to 14 and that was the start of the endless cycle which ended up right there. Toronto shot 45% from three and hit 17; Dubs hit 12 and that's the margin right there. Green, FVV and Fatty hit 14 of 25, 9 of 25 is probably more like it for these guys, and that's your margin. So this was a winnable game, even though no one but Steph really did much on offense. Klay coming back and even just upping the D and giving them a shooter to space the floor can make the difference. Boogie came up flat but he can reverse that with Klay out there, and I thought Bogut played well considering. Anyway, I listened to a little of the heads this morning, and they all have their way of minimizing the GSW injury situation. That red-headed stepchild Ric Pucher was talking about how it's a war of attrition on both sides, as if anything the Raptors are suffering is equal to having KD, Klay and Loon out. But now we see a must-win for the Dubs, because I really doubt we'll see Durant in game 5 so they need this one to push it to six games, which gives them a good shot at getting it to seven anyway. If Klay's okay the more they just play the better, because Boogie will get better and they'll be more acclimated together, even if we never actually see Durant.

I'm a Steph fan but I never once thought about him getting 50 or wanted it particularly to be honest. I really made notice of his points total after the game. I get what you're saying, but I didn't mind him staying in the game at that point because I thought they would try to ride him so he can get us a win or get us to OT since he was so hot. Maybe I was too hopeful, but the game didn't seem out of reach tiill they were up 13 with 1:30 left. I really don't think it was about him getting 50. You know Kerr doesn't roll with that. Heck, Nurse even left his starting lineup in the game after ours was out.

You are right execution was as big a part as the effort. I’d say it was 50/50. There is no way to really highlight what Klay might have done on a given defensive possession. Of course he was sorely missed. As far as Lowery thing goes....I promise you I wouldn’t make a big deal of it regardless the player. It was pathetic, embarrassing and unsurprising...what do I have to be upset about.

I'm gonna keep it 100 Alchemy, I'm not as worried about the effort by the team (aside from Steph) as you are. I thought you were going to focus more on how Klay's absence from this gave the Raptors offensive a field day of open looks. This game highlights how important Klay is, not only on offensive, but more importantly, on defense. I don't think Green hits 6 threes this game if Klay played and our defense acted like a unit. Also, I'm gonna have to call you out for being so okay with the Lowry pushing situation. Just like you I don't care for Kyle too much, but common Alchemy, Kyle didn't even land on him OR his wife and he still made the effort to push him. If that was Steph and it was a Raptors fan pushing #30 I think you would have has something to say about it. All that aside, you the man Alchemy keep up the amazing work on these videos!

In their defense, one could understand the insecurities some fans have regarding Steph. Just take a look on social media under any posts. So many people were saying Steph is a fraud and finally knows what it's like to have limited help even though he's playing with "2 all stars and a Finals MVP". As annoying as some fans can be, one almost understands due to social media being largely anti Steph/Warriors and discrediting him no matter how he performs

We have scored 109 in EVERY SINGLE GAME, even with Klay out. I have no words. It's clearly enough to beat the Raptors considering how much they typically scored in non-OT games. So the difference is our defense. Last night it was fucking awful without Klay (and Loon). If we go back to just playing FINALS LEVEL defense we got this. We are better than this. We can generate enough points, we just have to make it hard for them. We rarely made things difficult.
Secondly, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for doing these videos. I look forward to this post-game ritual, especially after losses. Your insight in these moments is something I appreciate a lot.

I would prefer starting Bogut but if Kerr is determined to stick with Boogie, they need to just feed him in the post to start the game and just clear out and let him go 1 on 1 in the post. Right now they feed him but then keep moving looking for him to pass which allows other defenders to be near him and he can easily get doubled. He clearly isn't comfortable enough yet so I say just to start let him go 1 on 1 back to the basket and see if he can draw some fouls and/or get a bucket

I agree with Alchs conspiracy theory. If Raptors lose this, NBA knows there is a good chance of a 5 game sweep. Let's be real most NBA games would not have such close point differentials if refs didn't play a role in making games competitive. Cue game 4 2017 finals.
Doris Burke with the bs 'Klay deserved to get injured' take and JVG's "oh Steph complaining about no call led to a transition 3' despite being in front of FVV are two prime examples of the incredible bias ESPN has towards the Warriors. Seriously pissed me off.
Bogut and Cousins got absolutely cooked in PnR. If we had Looney this game might have been in our favor. It's a testament to Curry's greatness the game was a 6 point differential at one point. If anything he should have shot more. He was waiting for the entire team to get in rhythm but no one showed up. A contested transition pull up 3 is like 40% for Curry so that's what he needed to do, even if it was selfish.

It seems like if the warriors had Klay last night and Steph did what he did, they would’ve won the game. I think Steph needs to do his thing again and klay provide that other perimeter threat to keep the defense honest. He will also bring that defensive intensity they lacked last night and I expect them to drop the whole “we have no chance so why even try” attitude they had. Should be a good game and if klay can get 20 to steph’s 30 they have a good chance to win in my book. Shared scoring load is always better than a singular threat. Example: Curry last night, Harden every night.

Alright Alc, so KD is officially out and Klay is in, we're not getting home calls, Steph is playing out of his mind and Klay needs to let that happen on offense if he's not 100% but needs to make up for it on defense and at least be that corner threat on offense which I'm sure he will be. But, level with me here, gimme some hope on how it's looking like for us right now. What can we do here to win us game 4 then hopefully get KD back for game 5?
