You're on point about Curry. He's gotta be better than that in a game this big. It seemed like he wasn't even focused. He had so many defensive breakdowns in this game as well. What we needed was for him to have the ball in his hands and have the same mindset and aggressiveness he had in G3. The issue in G3 was that he had no help at all, not even Klay. If he played like he did in G3 , this would've been a different game. But he was just off the ball way too much and simply too passive. He needs to realize what's going on right now and stop this deferring. There is no one to defer to. It needs to be him. He needs to take command.

Draymond need to come back next year with a 3pt shot. KD being on the team the last 3 years has “stunted” his growth as a scorer. In the 2015 and 2016 playoffs, Dray was more confident in his 3pt shot. It also went in more. He hasn’t needed to shoot or have been dared to shoot like he is in this series the weakness is showing. If they go down, it better be them giving Toronto their best punch

I'm with Draymond, if we play 1,2 or 3 more times, I'm 100% sure Draymond will give maximum and I'm confident he'll be followed by virtually all his teammates but if that's not the case for any Dubs player then use that info. to inform the process for next year's reload....and the Warriors players should keep their heads held high .....fans should be extremely appreciative of the teams accomplishments. One of the main reasons KD would leave is the hostile local media. Guys like Kawakami and Straus. Same fools who said KD isn’t even needed on this team. These local media allowed the narrative to fester to a point where even Draymond believed this crap.

But the Warriors offensive is less stagnant without KD? Right? Warriors have so much more fun without KD, right?

I was looking at OKC-Warriors 2016 WCF scores and highlights on Google/YT. It was mainly Splash Bros. they just let it fly in game 5-7. Andrew Boget and Spight (spellings) were big too. I hope Klay has one of those record breaking games at Jurassic Park. But more realistically, time has caught up with the Warriors, that's why very few teams have done 3 peats. Splash bros are a nano second slower. They have played 500+ games over last 5 years vs. 400+ for average team (rough calc), that's 25% more games. Optimistically they can be Lakers of 2000 or Patriots of 201x. Basically take a gap year (my kid just graduated hence the lingo) and come back strong in the upcoming years.

I hate to say it, but Steph just doesn't have that "mentality" Kobe and MJ does. He shows flashes of it sometimes. But when you don't have rhythm, its just the mindset of "willing" the team to win. Kobe and MJ were just like that. They just wouldn't allow it - most especially not in their prime.. And yeah, you're right, Kawhi almost always never goes to the left. If he does, he kinda pivots back again, then kinda does a post-up, then goes to his right.

Why hasn’t GS figured out that Kawhi doesn’t go to his left, EVER. He’s a smart player but when he’s forced left, he dribbles to make a pass. He isn’t aggressive on that side of the court. This was the ugliest game because it never felt like they had control of the game. It was like game 2 but flipped. 1 game can change anything but idk if this is too tall of a task. I believe in my boys, but what we’ve seen lately is that they don’t have the answers for Nurse and Toronto. Let’s be honest. On every facet of the game, GS is being outplayed. Coaching included. They’re a prideful team, and I hope they have too much pride to allow their dynasty to end like this. They going out like some suckas. I’m optimistic that they’ll play looser in game 5 and that may work in their favor but we’ll see. They’ve been down 3-1 before so it’s not foreign, but last time game 5 was at Oracle. It's very hard to gather up any optimism from this series. All you can really do is believe that they will play to the best that they can. At the end of the day, that's all I'm really hoping for.. to see a great game, where the teams both put up their S-tier effort. Win or lose.. to go out fighting or firing threes.. whichever it may be. I agree with you that if we're gonna go out, I wanna see us go out with Steph not hesitating on the threes. If he shoots without hesitation and misses, so be it. But hesitating and then missing over and over again isn't a good look and is not the way you want a dynasty to end. People can blame injuries.. blame KD.. blame the other team for being younger.. it doesn't matter. You suit up to play in the NBA, you give it your best effort and play to your strengths and adapt where you need to. Oracle didn't help at all, you are correct. No way could I afford to go there with the prices they charge. I managed to get in on one regular season game against the Grizzlies and that was just because it was my mother's birthday and I wanted her to experience her first ever live Warriors game that she's such a fan of. We all felt like the dynasty was ending, as it really should since all great things need to end at some point. I just want it to end in a positive way. That does not necessarily mean winning the chip, but it's certainly not what we saw in game 4. This post is too long.. but I'm frustrated. I'm conflicted. I didn't like the energy of how Warriors played. Yet I understand how much they've been drained by the lack of calls, the media, the whole KD thing.. and the fact that they've been in 5 consecutive finals. The injuries. I don't think anyone on the roster is playing fully healthy. It's gotta take its toll. I always appreciate your breakdowns though Alch. Keep it up! Its a sad day Alch. Its over. No more KD. No more Boogie (not that he was all that helpful aside from a handful of games both reg season/playoffs). The dynasty is probably over too. The bench will and SHOULD be gutted this off season. Livingston should retire, although he was actually pretty good last night. Idk how much longer Iguodala can go a full season. But damn. As soon as the new arena was announced, I had a feeling a very "49ers" thing was gonna happen. The 49ers were ballin at Candlestick. Then all their success brought them to Santa Clara. And the day they moved, there were trash and have yet to recover. Unfortunate how the same thing will probably happen to the Warriors. All this amazing success. The pinnacle of NBA glory. They should never have left Oakland. Oakland road with them for over 3 decades. And now that theyre on the brink of a coveted 3peat, its all ripped away just like that. Injuries killed us man. I have ZERO doubts that with a healthy Iggy, Looney, KD, and an in-shape Boogie. Warriors wouldve wiped the floor with these Raptors. Each game has been extremely close and the Warriors just lose out towards the end cuz they run out of gas. The talent the warriors have can only take them so much when its this battered. Interesting to see how Quinn Cook completely disappeared after game 2. Law of averages hit him, will it hit Toronto’s hot bench is the question, and honestly I don’t think it will. They’ve deserved every win they’ve gotten despite some suspicious refereeing (although that can be said for both sides) and if the dubs go down then so be it, that’s just a burden lifted off the team and maybe now they can go back to playing freely just to have fun. It’s taken a mental toll on everybody and I expect them to lose this series, vets retire on a semi high note, the team retools and they ride it out to the end with young guys. That being said, if they can find a way to win game 5 I think they have a solid chance at pushing it 7.

Going to lose this shit even with KD if we don't fix this garbage PnR defense. Rewatching this is making me angry. ScoutWithBryan made a video on it thst highlights how bad it was because primary defender didn't go under the switch. If we fix this that's 15-25 points saved right there. Instead of Boogie dropping coverage with Steph fighting over the screen, just let Boogie guard the one with the ball. Then rotate accordingly.

Cook, McKinnie, and Iguodala combined for 2/15. How many of those shots should have gone to splash bros? This will be on Kerr to adapt his strategy. He likes the bench too much when he should be focusing on a top heavy approach. Bias of having been a bench player. I never felt he used KD or Steph to their full potential.

Part of the reason Houston had the #1 offensive rating in the league is because they let their best player take all the shots. We have so many wasted offensive possessions it's statistically far better for Curry to just pull up in transition. Not that he had much energy last night, dude was completely fatigued but it's still probably better than moving off the ball. This lack of spacing is killing us while the entire Raptors lineup is a genuine perimeter and driving threat. I mean come on look at 12:30. It takes very little energy to get that open look off a PnR but we ran it what, three times this game? Draymond not being a floor spacer can be used to our advantage but we never use his high screens. If we are going to lose this series at least lose after playing optimally. We don't have the transition pressure like we did in 3Q of game 2 either.

I was wondering.....why didn't they go to Klay much earlier. He was looking pumped. He was hitting shots from the start. I feel like he would have kept the game close or even expanded the lead. Instead it looked like he was forcing up shots later on to keep us in.
