Rules 5.1 New Horizons

Jeremy sat on the tub’s edge facing away from her. The evening had been shocking for both of them, a whirlwind of emotion had been kicked up, and it now rested quietly between them. With how quiet Jeremy had been since they got home, Sage knew she would need to be the first to speak.

“So, did you like it?” Sage asked.

Jeremy was silent.

“Jeremy?” Sage asked. He stared blankly at their bathroom wall, not moving a muscle.

“Did you guys really plan all that?” Jeremy asked.

“Yeah, of course,” Sage replied. It wasn't true, but she would rather have Jeremy believe she was in control of the situation. She knew it would have been better to tell the truth, but she didn't want to. Whether it was shame, fear, or guilty pleasure, Sage stuck to her white lie. She might not have come up with the idea, but David was right, she wanted it to happen. Sage convinced herself it was her idea, and that David had just done what she expected him to do. It was what she wanted. Now, Sage was determined to make sure Jeremy wanted this too.

“Why not ask me first?” Jeremy said.

“Hmm?” Sage replied. It was instinctual, she really didn’t know how to answer such a valid question. The truth was the most obvious answer: Sage didn’t know it was going to happen. If she had made a conscious decision to fuck David in front of Jeremy, she absolutely would have asked him first. Sage hadn't given David enough credit, and he had outplayed her in more ways than one. His risky decision had caught her in a lie while also getting her addicted to their new arrangement.

“Sage, why didn’t you talk to me about it first?” Jeremy said, finally turning to look at Sage as he did so. It was silent for a moment, Sage knew the silence was dangerous. She couldn't seem uncertain, it could undo this opportunity as well as her marriage. She had to be confident and collected.

She needed to be strong for Jeremy, for their relationship.

“I thought you’d like the surprise,” Sage replied coyly.

“I don’t know Sage… I think for any big steps like that we really should talk first.”

“So, you didn’t like it?” Sage asked. She sounded nervous, and Jeremy picked up on it.

“No, no it’s not… I mean obviously, I did. It was amazing to watch, and I’d be lying if I said that I hadn’t fantasized about you two fucking more than once. I just… honestly, it also didn’t feel great,” Jeremy admitted. Sage nodded slowly as she splashed water onto her shoulders.

“So, do you want us to stop?” Sage asked. Jeremy sighed and shook his head.

“I don’t know? Probably not no, but I don’t want anything like that happening again,” Jeremy said. Sage’s heart sank. Deep down, she had hoped he would’ve liked it, she really hoped he would have given his blessing for things to continue.

“Alright, I can understand that,” Sage replied softly.

“What’s wrong?” Jeremy asked.

“Nothing’s wrong, you’re completely right, you should feel good when we do this kind of stuff,” Sage said. Jeremy turned his body toward her, he had a pained look Sage knew all too well. She knew he didn't like her answer.

“You don’t feel the same way?” Jeremy asked.

“What do you mean?”

“Sage, come on… are you saying you didn’t feel like something was off about tonight?” Jeremy said. He was beginning to sound impatient, it had been a while since Sage had seen him like this. It made her cautious, it also turned her on.

“I mean, I thought we were all enjoying it, you know?” Sage answered. There was seduction in her voice, only a hint. Just enough to let Jeremy know she enjoyed what happened. Jeremy nodded slowly.

“So you didn’t feel like something was off?”

“Jeremy, think about it from my perspective. You were staring me right in the eyes when I begged you to stop me, but you kept jerking off as I rode his cock. You came to another man fucking your wife,” Sage said. She knew what she was doing, she knew she could probably get Jeremy to see it as his fault if she pushed enough. It wasn’t conscious, it was a behavior learned over years in their relationship, and something she realized she enjoyed doing.

It worked, Jeremy was already looking down, blushing as he recalled the evening.

“I know… I didn’t really speak up about how I was feeling. It was all happening so fast,” Jeremy said, his fists clenched against his legs.

“I’m not saying that we shouldn’t have talked about it first, but that night… it really seemed like you enjoyed it so… I enjoyed myself too,” Sage said.

“Yeah, I guess that makes sense,” Jeremy said. He rubbed his fingers through his hair, it was clear his mind was still racing through his emotions. Sage felt sorry for him, she also enjoyed his discomfort. Jeremy cleared his throat, “So, you enjoyed it?”

“Yes, I did,” Sage replied, lifting her leg out of the water.

“How… how many times did you actually cum?” Jeremy asked.

“At least four, Jeremy,” Sage replied. She could see her words were cutting into him, she could see he had a mix of anguish and excitement on his face. She knew they should probably take a break and talk things through, but she didn’t want to. She wanted him to keep asking, she wanted him to work through this and accept that it would happen again.

“Have… have you ever cum that much with me?” Jeremy asked.

“No,” Sage said shortly, Jeremy’s face contorted into sadness.

“Oh…” Jeremy said. Genuine pain rang in his voice, Sage knew she had gone too far, and she immediately back peddled.

“But you make me cum in such a special and different way,” Sage said assuringly. She leaned forward, and gently placed her hand on Jeremy’s shoulder, “You know that David could never replace you, right? You know I need you.”

“Is that true?” Jeremy asked.

“Absolutely,” Sage said, and this was easy to say. Jeremy truly was her love in life, and she had no intention of leaving him. Despite her newfound enjoyment of toying with him, Sage needed Jeremy now more than ever, and her honestly seemed to be reaching him.

“Even after fucking David?”

“Oh god, Jeremy. He’s a good fuck, but I could never be with that man in an actual relationship. Could you imagine? He’s exactly what we wanted, he’s our bull and nothing more.”

“He said he wanted to make you do other things…” Jeremy said. His voice quivered, he sounded like a scared boy seeking comfort. She both loved and hated that, it made her want to push him further.

“He did say that, didn’t he? How do you feel knowing that David wants to do more to me? That he wasn't satisfied with just one night?” Sage asked. She was resting her naked body on Jeremy’s back, water absorbed into his dress shirt, her hands slid on his chest, and she spotted the bulge growing in his pants.

“I don’t know, I mean it did sound exciting when he said it. But Sage, I need you to promise me that whatever we do moving forward, no more surprises, alright?” Jeremy said. Sage’s hands stopped moving on his chest. He couldn’t see her expression, which was good, because it was one of disappointment.

“Of course, no more surprises,” Sage said. Though deep down, she knew that was a lie. Or at the very least, a temporary truth, she would warm Jeremy up to it. He would love it in the end.

“We can make new rules, we’ll have an agreement, and then maybe you can talk it over with David? Make sure he’s on board?” Jeremy asked. His request surprised Sage, she thought for sure he would insist on them talking to David together, but she would capitalize on his passive decision.

“Of course, sweetheart, but you know that would mean no surprise photos and videos…”

“Well, no that’s not what I meant. We can talk through the details, we can figure out what is ok and what would require a talk first,” Jeremy said.

“And then I’ll talk to David?” Sage asked.

“Yeah, I mean… if you don’t mind. Honestly, right now I’d rather not get to know him. I don’t know if that makes sense.”

“Don't worry, I’ll handle it,” Sage said, giving her husband a kiss on the cheek.

This is the moment of genuine betrayal. I've gone back from Chapter 24, to read it all over from the beginning. Here's where Sage fucks them both over. The first four Chapters, Sage is trying. She's reluctant to even get involved with David. From the first encounter with David, each encounter with David, she loses control of the situation. But initially, she fights her way back, regaining herself and her control, and putting David on the back foot. It's Jeremy pushing her back into it, and she has serious reservations. But the first few chapters expose her two big character flaws, the flaws that will destroy her. First, she's got a deep, unexplored submissive streak... one that she's not used to, hasn't really experienced, so when David taps it she's unprepared, taken by surprise, and has no defense. She has no idea what to do with the situation, and she has no control over her submissive urges, they control her. And they're addictive. The other is that despite the submissive urges, her self image has a pathological demand that she be in control. I think she's always been in control most of her life, men swanning around her, always being on top of a situation. When she loses control to David initially, she snaps hard at him (it's an interesting contrast to chapters 23 and 24 where loss of control basically sees her shutting down emotionally). But as it goes on, she does two things - she starts lying to herself, both in the situation and afterwards; and more critically, she starts lying to and manipulating Jeremy, and of course, lying to herself about that. I think lying to and manipulating Jeremy becomes psychologically addictive to her, she's repeatedly outmaneuvered and overwhelmed by David, she's not in control of him, or her own submissiveness. The only thing she can really control is Jeremy, playing with Jeremy is her way of feeling like herself. But in a situation where David and her urges are running her, this results in her becoming increasingly manipulative of Jeremy, openly betraying him. Compliments to David - in Chapter 3 he managed to maneuver Sage into a lie of silence about David humping her bare pussy (and entering), that was a major victory. Then in Chapter 4 he managed to maneuver her into openly and nakedly lying. He's definitely setting her up for a fall. But in Chapter 5, that's where she falls. She could have come clean, revealed that David had outplayed her. But that would mean confessing to chapters 3 and 4, and she couldn't face that, not in a mirror, and not to Jeremy. She also didn't want to give up the adventure. So she betrays Jeremy and betrays herself. From this point on, she just digs herself deeper into self deceit, betrayal, and submissiveness. David easily outmaneuvers her and ties her into knots each time. She loses control of the situation, and desperately pretends to herself over and over, and David just uses that against her.

Nice interlude, great way to bring it through the turmoil.
