Even when Loon was a rookie and clearly injured, I'd be stunned by some of his stat lines--he'd come in for 6-8 minutes, get 4 points, 5 boards and a steal. His rebounding even while hobbled was just shockingly good...but it's clearly his defense that's come the furthest since then. His ability to stay light on his feet and adjust to the guards is clearly the product of tons of work, study, and pride. I mean, watch his feet while he's guardin' Harden. Count the steps. He's never still so he never gets blown by even though he cannot accelerate nearly as well as Harden can. I really hope he busts out that offensive game this year. Imagine what we could do with another 35% 3-point-shooting center, or even a guy with a respectable 18-footer who can pass and maybe even drive on some guys. He'd be the perfect main center to WCS' second-unit short roll artist.

Interesting idea... my concern would be you would be pulling him out of the paint too much. I mean he is great on the switch, but he wouldn’t be the rebounder he is always standing out at the 3 point line. (Defensively) but I agree offensively he could pose some real mismatches and it might unlock some of his bag.

Last season Looney slowly became one of my favourate players in the NBA because I kind of play in a similar way like him (not boasting i swear but all I do on the court are just dirty works XD). This video encapsulates everything that I think of him thank you!

Some of the sites I found listed Looney as a SF. I would LOVE to see us uncork his offense and we start Looney as the 3 on most nights. Show us all that training you had with KD, Loon! We can let Paschall inherit Looney's old role as the switchable backup big while McKinnie maintains his role from last season (McKinnie just doesn't have the goods to be a starter) I can see a Curry, DLo, Looney, Dayday, WCS/Spellman lineup until Klay is baked back to top form.

If Looney can manfest a solid mid range. Hes a double double guy! That'll do wonders for the Dubs. His Gap Gawd badge is his most important badge as guarding on the perimeter is such a big thing for bigs in the league now. If Looney makes the jump that'll be an amazing piece for any team if we don't pay him.
