Kerr has earned at least one full year of credit. Maybe if the warriors have a terrible season this year, don't develop the rookies, don't tank well and don't develop any chemistry and then Kerr mishandles the reshape next year then ok it would be fair to fire him. But I think its extremely reactionary to fire him before that.

If the Bucks are unable to make the playoffs
The narrative of Giannis to the Warriors with the UnderArmor connection has already been lightly stated.
If he demanded a trade out and stated everywhere else would be a 1-year rental, could any team match
a high lottery pick + DLO + Draymond
I don't think its the likelyest of scenarios
but if DLO does not get traded
It will be because it is in the cards

At this point I think he is. Green has been absolute shit for quite a while, even when he was getting triple-doubles in the playoffs he was frustrating to watch

Curry is off rhythm at start of season even though he was fine in the preseason, like that 40 pt game. The spacing wasn't that bad, opponents are respecting anyone that's not Draymond right now. People don't remember Curry by himself carried the team in 2013 to game 6 against the Spurs, the same team that *should* have beaten the LeBron Heat in game 6.
I love Klay but when you look at 5+ seasons worth of net rating, you can tell the team only marginally improves with him on the court. That's hard to believe under the eye test but this is what the stat consistently tells us. Granted, his absence is much more impactful right now because there just isn't a good off ball scorer aside from Curry. DLo's presence is also disrupting Draymond and Curry's game as they were the primary ball handlers. Same thing happened when KD started taking too much time with the ball (compare 2017 vs 2019).

It'd be nice if DLo can develop the Harden game. They both lull opponents to sleep but the problem is DLo doesn't have that quick change in acceleration like Harden. Harden consistently leads the league in drives whereas this is DLo's big weakness. We'll also need an extra shooter to space the floor for DLo.
GR3's offense was comical last night. I hope it's a temporary problem because his defense is actually valuable.

Curry wasn't just off offensively since game 1, it was his defense. Normally he is good at not overhelping too much but several times this season he has left a 3 pt shooter wide open. He just needs to let the guys play 1 vs 1 a lot of these times. Seems like the whole team has been making this overhelping mistake though. This is a mental issue right here that's also affecting his shooting.

I remember that season and I refuse to believe he had "no one" considering he had veterans on that team....Steph was on the rise while also trying to lead his team but it's not comparable to now when Steph is the oldest player surrounded by young guys along with the 5 year playoff fatiuge. Also the league is different now and how teams play us, everybody has got no mercy.

When did you start watching basketball? 2013 steph had no one and carried this team to the playoffs. His team was borderline weak and he relied on no one. Don’t believe the stuff Nick Wright and the media tell you. Steph is more than capable

I'm telling you man, what Klay has done for Steph is under appreciated. Something is wrong with Steph and I think it's the thought/burden of carrying this team on his shoulders. Like KD said today, "he's trying to do so much". Without Klay covering his ass on the defensive end and helping him space the floor on offense, Steph realizes that nobody got his back, everybody is new and Dray can't shoot for shit.

Now for some comments on the actual game:
I had no idea Burcs and WCS were gonna play this game. And from what I saw, WCS makes a huge difference. He was a bit slow, but I ut him all the slack after not playing for awhile. But in terms of just having a big body out there to challenge shots and open vertical space, it was really nice to see. Burcs? I cut him some slack too for missing all that time but he basically looked like GR3. Meaning I didnt really even see him. He hit some shots but didnt make any sort of noticeable impact.
Im telling you though, Paschall and Poole are absolute steals in this draft. And now with all these extra minutes coming to their plate, they gonna be eating real good over this season. Poole just needs to relax and take the shot. He hit that step back over Oubre and he just needs to do that more. Play his game. Also I knew he was smaller, but I didnt realize he was THAT much smaller than Oubre hahah.
DLo again.....I dont know. Hes just not that interesting to watch. His effort just kinda seems ho hum. And like I said last game, I appreciate the hustle and effort that Spellman gives. But man....it doesnt change the way I feel about him as a player. The dude just cant do anything other than SOMETIMES rebound. He doesnt box out. He just is that reckless wild dude in the YMCA gym who thinks being reckless means being good. But no one can seem to finish any layups this season. Why is that?
Final thought: I give a ton of credit to all the young guys out there for turning a 40pt game into almost an incredible comeback there at the end. The fouls and timely hot shooting from the Suns held them off long enough, but with a bit more discipline defensively, I honestly believe the Young Dubs wouldve pulled that out! Obviously losing Curry was huge, but in terms of strictly this game....it actually doesnt look bad in the LONG run (like next 3 seasons, not this one lol).

Here is what needs to happen.......SHUT IT DOWN. Joe Lacob and Bob Meyers....I really hope they see all these red flags and take the hint. SHUT. IT. DOWN. If you have to lie and say Draymond has a herniated disk and needs back surgery or whatever, go ahead. But shut Curry down, shut Draymond down. Go into full tank mode. Let the young guys develop and build their confidence in their skills. Give DLo the spotlight and let him do basically whatever he wants offensively. He can turn in James Harden for all I care, drop 50 points but have 33 of them from the FT line. The young guys will benefit from all the minutes theyll be getting this season. Use that to our advantage. But I dont want to see Curry or Klay on the floor for the rest of the season. Maybe have Draymond continue to play every OTHER game so that he can build chemistry with them and his playmaking. Better yet, force Draymond to take 7 threes a game, and if he makes 4 of them, he gets to choose if he wants to play the next game. But if he cant make 4 or more, he misses the next game regardless. The game within game.
The seasons done. We already kinda knew that, but now anyone who had any inkling of hope that it wasnt.....is gone. Shut it all down please. Id rather watch Paschall and Poole for 39 minutes a game than see another unnecessary injury happen in a season that doesnt matter. We could honestly use the draft picks considering we have no cap space and need better guys. Trade DLo at the end of the season, free up cap space, and draft the 1st or 2nd best player in the draft. Its a simple path for the rest of this season. Its now only on the front office to actually choose to take it. And unfortunately....something tells me they arent going to take it.................

Shit sucks man, you couldn't script this. I guess what goes around comes around, we've been shitting on everyone in the league for 5 years maybe the basketball gods decided enough is enough. I don't think the Warriors are done for but this season is probably gone, maybe we should just tank and try and surprise people next year. I agree with you that Steph has looked very distant, I think the new team situation is hard for him. Maybe this'll be good for him in a sort of twisted way.

Do you know the reason why Steph's shot seems so off? First couple of games I thought it was spacing but last 2 games it does not look like it...
2019-10-31 20:13:24 +0000 UTC
There are silver linings to Steph's injury but they are sort of long term growth/role silver linings. If we accomplish nothing else in this early season drubbings that were going to absorb, we ought to at least get Eric Paschall a decent nickname he's gonna be a keeper.
