I gotta say, though, I'd love to hear you do, like, the Generic ESPN Commentator voice for a 2-minute clip while also sneaking in as many innuendos as possible. You'd kill that job, but we all know cushy ESPN/FS1 commentator jobs go to 1) dudes who have been covering since the 80s or 2) ex-players. I wonder if there's some secret clause in the Player's Association thing? "If you blow all your money on women, cars, and booze, one of the major sports networks will offer you a job whether you're good for it or not." I could totally see that, except for Nick Wright. He's not an old typewriter cowboy OR a broke-ass former player: he's just a Warriors-hater. No talent, no fun, so how did he get that job as FS1?

Yeah, the hero-ball they resorted to at the end was frustrating, but I'm glad Kerr let them rub their noses in their own loss. Thunder didn't win; the Baby Dubs bobbled it away with rookie/inexperienced/new teammate play. And that's good. The film will teach them way more than the W ever could.

What showed most to me in this loss is that, as relatively well as the team did through 3 (holding a double-digit lead for large chunks of the game), they just do *not* know how to finish. They're all still learning to play ball together, or at all, in JPoole's case. The other thing? Fatigue. When you have an 8-man lineup...damn, subbing is barely an option. They had everything they needed but just couldn't hold out in the 4th. Too tired, too raw, too inexperienced in the system. But if we kept it to a last-second nail-biter, then goddamn, this team isn't a bunch of scrubs. This could be the core of a great 2nd unit next year. I'm hopeful, man. Thanks as always for the sweet breakdown--I haven't watched it yet, but I know I'm getting quality from Alch every time. Gonna cross over and watch the 9ers one next.

Collect them L's

It's so strange watching them winning by double-digits, cheering, fist-pumping, feeling very confident and proud and then all of a sudden, they lose. And I feel perfectly happy about it. Glad to give OKC another unneeded win (fuck those guys, hope all they draft lots of athletic project players with all their late round draft picks). Winning felt like the ONLY CORRECT outcome the previous 5 years. Anything less was fucking failure. Now, losing is perfectly acceptable and fine by me.

Buike is really starting to annoy me. I know people hate on Fitz, but having JB as the calming presence made the two a great broadcast duo. Buike just isn't for commentating IMO. As for the game, it would have been nice to get a W for team morale. Loved seeing Steph, Klay, DLo and Loon on the Warriors bench supporting the crew!

Master tank job in full effect tonight. Kerr knew what he was doing.

Good point!

I think he is being himself.. trying too hard but being himself. He is just extremely corny. I have gone back to being a little less family friendly this year, because the season requires it. But I have a ton on YouTube and here where I have kept it PC.

You're really digging in to Buki - we all know you'd be better Alch! But doesn't it sound more like he's trying to tow some sort of company line with his code switching? Let's see an Alchemy video where you keep it "middle america family friendly," and still entertain us.. it's a tough line for him to walk no? that said - I was rolling with the impersonation! lol

Daniel Fries

steve definitely let them sh*t themselves he knows nobody outside of the bay area is saying anything about him right now. win, lose, or draw and he's glad about it. living his best life

I'll start off by saying I had ZERO problem with Kerr letting them play it out at the end. It felt like classic Warriors that we have gotten used to, and I think it was good "practice" for them to be in that situation and have to play it out. Cuz Kerr would do the same thing if DLo and Steph were there. Like you said, I thought he couldve called that timeout a little earlier though when Bowman backed up on Gallinari, but also......why didnt Bowman pull up for that shot? RIght after he gets that screen and the half second of space he had when Galli switched on him, he had an open 3 to shoot. But then he stops and dribbles all the time away. On to the entire game itself.......I was thoroughly disgusted with the cockiness they showed. It was fun to watch them playing hard and having results on both end. But they thought they won the game in the 3rd quarter. You aint the Splash Bros Warriors people!!!!! Theyre the only team in the in league who can end games with dagger 3s in the 3rd quarter. They started jacking up 3s and taking terrible shots in the 4th quarter just to play to the crowd like you said. All in the mean time not playing any defense, and just like you said again, giving Galli way too much attention. That particular play when Paschall left Paul open to double Galli. That bothered me so much. Give Galli 2 pts thats fine. But Paul was trying to heat up even more and they let him hit another wide open 3. Very annoying to see that. But as a full conclusion. Im glad they lost. I obviously wouldve liked if they had won, solely to serve more Ls to Chris Paul. But the loss was well deserved. They slacked off after the 3rd quarter, more losses = better draft pick, and gives him experience and something to think about. When Klay and Steph are playing cocky, thats fine. Thats how they are and theyve proven theyre good enough to do that. But these guys playing cocky?? That was my big criticism of Kerr well before that timeout. He needed to shorten that leash when OKC started to heat up. They got really sloppy towards the end.

Remember when the mavs offered almost 80mio/4 yrs for Noel? But he thought he deserved max money. If he ever regrets that one πŸ€”

God just imagine if Luka was in this year's draft 😭 Rip NBA for the next 10 years

What do you think we'd do if we got the first pick? Trade it or try to make a run like the spurs in the 90's
