As a die hard Seahawks fan, its Superbowl year for us baby

Vlad

Health is a problem through out the sport. The kick game is concerning, and not really being talked about. You know how many playoff games come down to it! Big picture start of they year you, tell us we are 10-2. No one is complaining.

Athletic Alchemy

Love the passion and the fury! Epic comment.

Jason Treit

Lol sorry. My passion for my 49ers outweighs that of my Warriors. And I love the Dubs a whole lot!

Jansen E

Holy shit that comment ☝️

Jason Treit

Sorry for the immensely long comment Alch. You might not even read it all! Hahaha. Okay...ugh. It was hard to watch that whole video and not get all the same emotions again. I was absolutely INFURIATED with a few main things. But I will start by saying A) I seriously hope youre right about Saleh not "wanting to show his hand" and anticipating a SB matchup. I seriously doubt it as well. But I really hope so. I'll get back to this in a minute. and B) It was probably best we lost this game to keep the entire team grounded and hungry. Cuz if you think about it, if they win, they might feel high and mighty going to NOLA or Seattle, only to come crashing back down for possibly the 3RD seed in the NFC. This loss keeps them angry and hunting for that #1/#2 seed. The Saints matchup is important, but nothing matters more than that Seattle matchup as of right now. C) Raheem Moster is like a combo of Breida and Coleman with more power than both of them. Breida is still shiftier and faster and Coleman might be a better receiver, but Mostert is a goddamn beast. I totally agree with you that with that first 4th down call, I was worried. At first I was like wait why are we going for it to PASS on 4th down so early??? And then Deebo happens. But I will 100% admit that play was lucky for Jimmy. He totally should have been picked off my Peters on that play, but somehow Peters just had a weird break on the ball and let Deebo catch it in front of him. It was a lucky score. Great play by Deebo, but lucky score overall. BUT NOW FOR THE FURIOUS RANT: 1) What in the FUCK is Kyle Shanahan doing on that 2 minute drill? Youre gonna be aggressive on every 4th down and PASS it? Fine....I disagree with the choice to pass every time, but Im with you on the decision to go for it! Yes! Be aggressive. Go for the jugular. Buuuuuuuuut with the 2 minutes winding down, Mostert literally averaging 12yds a carry......youre gonna waste 40 whole seconds of doing NOTHING. Then youre gonna bullshit and fuck around NOT trying to get the ball closer for your right-off-injury kicker who hasnt played in 4 weeks to kick a 50 yard bomb in pouring rain???? Im not calling for him to be fired obviously, but fuck Shanahan for that. That made me wanna skin myself. Points were going to be at a premium and every minute we spent trailing the Ravens, was a minute lost on both offense and defense. So he decides to waste the whole 2 minutes and get NOTHING to show for it. Im sorry, thats terrible. I hope Lynch chewed him out for that. Im of the first belief that we left 7 whole points on the board because of his decision/time management right there. Whether we win or lose, Idk. But we shouldve scored on that drive. 3 timeouts and he does FUCK ALL with it. 2) My sisters fiance is a HUGE Jimmy G fan. Bought his jersey when they signed him to that huge contract. Ive still withheld my belief in him. Particularly because of games like these. Ive been pointing out his wild inaccuracy issues, and his inability to make up his mind inside the pocket. That fumble KILLED all the momentum the Niners had. I would rather him take sacks than throw INTs. But if he's gonna take a sack, just SIT DOWN and take it! Him trying to fight for extra yards and extend the play while being wrapped up just puts him in more harms way for both unnecessary turnovers and injuries. He's getting sacked...and if he just sits and accepts it, that fumble doesnt happen. Then when the pocket breaks down, he is unsure if he wants to escape and run, or throw the ball into triple coverage. Im glad you made that Favre comparison cuz thats exactly what Favre did. Also go to 11:45 of your video. My second biggest gripe with Jimmy after his accuracy is his tendency to get tunnel vision on his spotlight guys. At 11:45, Kendrick Bourne runs a beautiful stick out-route. He's wide open for a first open and possibly a TD. But nope, Jimmy sees sanders and only cares to throw to him. Same with Kittle. That almost INT that he threw, he didnt even LOOK at anyone else in that play, and only cared about Kittle, and should have paid for it. I will continue to withhold my belief that this dude is a franchise QB because he hasnt proven anything to me yet. And no, beating the Cards does not count. I need to see him step up in BIG games against BIG teams and not rely on the defense to bail him out. And then the whole "warm up inside" thing. That pissed me off. Ive never heard more perfect evidence of him being a "pretty boy". You warming up for a DOWNPOUR game......inside? Cuz you dont wanna get cold and wet? BOY!........get your fucking ass outside and prepare for the elements. Lik everyone else. Lamar did it! But nahhhhhhhh pretty boy Jimmy wants it warm and snuggly. Bitch this aint Dallas. You dont play in a dome. That was weak, and made me lose quite a bit of respect for him. 3) And finally, my last infuriated point is the same as yours. I dont believe that you or I am smarter than the dudes who actually work for the 49ers, especially Shanahan or Saleh. That being said, you mean to tell me that they TOLD the 49ers players to sell out on Ingram??? Ingram isnt the guy breaking records. Ingram isnt the 4.2 40 guy who can score in any number of ways. Everything you said I was shouting in my head. When Clay Matthews was destroyed by the read option that first playoff matchup against Kaep, he came back the next year and DARED Kaep to run, simply by hitting him after every fake. Make Lamar earn that shit!!! I only congratulate Sherman for trying to light him up that one time. But holy shit, if Im Saleh, I 100% trust the rest of the defense to stop Ingram. He's a good RB but he's no Dalvin Cook. I send Bosa/Armstead/Warner after that read option and PUNISH Lamar every single fake. I dont care if Ingram breaks a 40 yard rush. Light Lamar up and make him think twice about pulling it out. How we just LET Lamar dance around do whatever he wanted make steam come out of my ears. Like you said, easier said than done obviously. But man we didnt even DO it. We went for Ingram every single time as if Tom Brady was handing it off. This game was so winnable despite all the injuries we suffered. Despite the weather. And despite the mistakes. What a play by Harris after Tartt went down. Definitely deserved a game ball like you said. That was nearly exactly the same play Tartt made on Metcalf a couple weeks ago. That play was awesome. Im not upset that we lost by 3. In anything, the games against the Seahawks and Ravens have shown how good we CAN be when 100% healthy. Im much more upset with how we did not put ourselves in position to win. And the coaching staff seemingly approached the game with lack of preparation. Selling out on Ingram??? Aggressive 4th downs but......we dont wanna call timeouts in a 2 minute warning? Then we WASTE all our timeouts in the second half? Thats just shit coaching. Finally. We just gotta stop getting injured. 100% healthy......this team is without a doubt the BEST in the NFL. No comparison.

Jansen E

hmm..maybe that explains the strategy. Although how may times did he really drop back for it happen anyway?

Athletic Alchemy

I was impressed with our ability to keep the middle of the pocket from opening up and allowing for those big runs from Lamar up the middle, but us biting on those option plays off the edge really did kill us.
