The g league isn't going to solve his problems on the defensive end. Ernie DiGregorio was the NBA rookie of the year (25 assists in a game) played all 81 games. The coach of the gold medal Soviet national team said of him, "if I had him on my team, I would never lose a game". No player ever came into the NBA with more talent on the offensive end of the floor, he transformed the Buffalo Braves. His nickname was "Ernie D" but after a couple of years people changed it to "Ernie No D". Within 5 years he was out of the league....the moral of the story is that if JP was to go to the G league and "solve" his massive systemic offensive end problems, at best he will have made himself into a bench "other" with a useful skill....1's and 2's in the NBA (like Klay) that can play D are worth their weight in gold and guys that can't are not worth the time. JP is a project player and a small sample size of stats might be set aside as not predictive but it's not a small sample size and the sample is at the far end of the Bell curve. Agree, he is not a true 5, and I also agree that some of the good play that we see from Chriss is enhanced by sharing time on the court with Spellman. The Warriors have an issue with players not receiving playing time based primarily on their performance (IMO) but my larger point is that we are never going to know the Ceiling for Chriss if he continues to play somewhat deferentially and NOW is the time to give him a green light because soon, when Klay, and Steph and some 1st round lottery pick are back, Chriss could slide back into deferential mode which would be a shame.

I guess we found out which team is better at tanking. Jordan Poole is really starting to alarm me. He has the worst TS% and net rating for a NBA rookie all time right now. This is like anti-Curry stat. Once we get more guys healthy he needs time in G lesgue

Chris's should be given the starting job, consistent improvement, consistent game to game, consistent quarter to quarter, with the highest ceiling of the 5's. He started the season waiting for permission and always looking for someone else over his own, now it's time to tell him to look for his own more and you do that by giving him the keys and telling him to start the car.

I can tell DLo is bugging you. Some parts of his game I love and he seems to be a good dude, but this team can't be a contender in the future with his lack of effort and IQ on D. Maybe that will change with a more competitive roster next season? I don't think so though...
