KAT has a historically high TS% for a center, much like Durant did in the small forward position. Imo, he is better than AD and prime Boogie offensively and may even match better with us than Giannis.

D'Lo could become the next Harden. Worth building an entire offense around. The big ticket player, face of the franchise, main attraction. Won't happen here, but I can see someone on a lackluster team making a decent trade for him and then, years from now, every sportscaster reminding us endlessly that "The Warriors could have kept D'Lo. Worst trade ever. Etc etc" as if D'Lo's destiny would have been the same. Harden wouldn't have been Harden if he stayed with OKC. Nor will D'Lo be his most epic form playing behind Curry and Thompson.

I don't know if it's Luka's conditioning but generally his step back starts to fail him after a while. I think teams like the clips, rockets, and lakers will mix it up but dallas made it clear they are too good for trapping.

You asked about DLO’s mentality going into this game. I would assume he sees Luka and his game as quite similar. Now I don’t think Russel is delusional and thinks he’s as good Luka, but he went out to close the gap on the narrative. For instance if a team was going to trade DLO for Luka, how many 1st round draft picks would have to be included to finalize that deal? 3, 4? DLO went out there to show the gap isn’t as wide as it appears. And I’ve been sold for a while. If it’s not for a Giannis trade in the off season, we have to make work with the 3 guards with big body Klay at the 3.

Even tho you only got 3 quarters that must a been a pretty fun game to be at. Dlo release is actually super fast, but I feel you.. the way he chooses to set it up is super slow.

Also, I was thinking about how different DLo and Steph's shots are. DLo is about as slow a trigger as you can get while Steph has a famously quick trigger. It'll be hard for defenders to time close outs when we get a fully healthy squad.

I was at the game last night and idk if it came through on TV, but Chase was LOUD. Louder than any of the regular season games I've been to the past few years. The DLo injury scare completely killed the atmosphere, it took about 10 minutes to get him off the court and after that we pretty much collapsed. It did seem like the Mavs came out of halftime on a mission to make stops so maybe it was gonna happen anyway. Smailagic looks pretty good for his age. He needs polish, but he's closer to being NBA ready than Poole.

Man I agree that I go back and forth on dlow but he's really starting to make it hard to give them up. His defense is improving even if it's not good yet and man that shot looks so soft and quick now I can't imagine how deadly are offense would look with Klay and Steph out there too

Luka has that kawhi-like ability to perfectly time his steps on drives where it looks like a travel but it’s really just his pacing. He’s also great at using his size/weight to free up space like harden. Overall, it’s scary for the rest of the league.
