My pops, a huge Warrior fan (who passed it to me) passed away in 2015, the year the Dubs won it all after 40 years. It was the sweetest victory ever in so many levels. I hope the same for Laker Nation.

But his daughter dying at 13 before her life had really truly begun is just awful. I feel so sorry for the surviving family. Jesus, just...heart-breaking.

IDK about rooting for the Lakers to win, but I agree that would be the best outcome to see. With the dubs out seeing a team rally behind losing someone like him would be special.
