I agree that I am not objective but perhaps not for the reason some might think by reading my long standing, one sided, comments. The the rubric i'm using to judge him may arguably be unfair but what i've seen from the first beginning of the season is JP is a ball watcher/head turner, doesn't use split vision, doesn't bend his knees, doesn't spread out and take space in front of the ball, can't absorb contact on a drive and players who have that light body and can't absorb contact then need to be good at body position/anticipation to give them a chance at drawing a charge. J.P. will never be a plus defender.....never..... and with Steph, Klay and D-Lo in front of him as 3 point options (or even GR3) and him having an historically bad season shooting the ball where does that leave him? Has he made progress this season sure, his passing is not only better than I first thought, at times it's been fabulous both from vision and choice of using the correct pass (like wow sometimes), his rotations also are improved from the beginning of the season.

hmmmmm...I think if you look at how Myers has operated he wants to create as many assets as possible.

Ok cool..I knew it wasn't a standard deal. Again I think its natural for him to slump right now. But if it carries through the rest of the season!........

Maybe Im projecting here..but I think you took too hard a stance on Poole and now you cant watch him objectively. Your right he is still a inconsistent rookie, but he is getting better.

Evans plays because, following his "breakout" 8/19, 4 threes game, Poole went 2/9 and then 0/6 in the next 2 games. Maybe? And maybe because when you watch the video of Evans defending Embid right here Evans stays in front, adjusts position to all the fakes 3 or 4 times, and even though Embid makes a spinning fall away it's that tease the Evans does from time to time showing that he could be a defender.....maybe.... while the shooter Poole (who can't shoot consistently) will never be able to guard my grandmother.

I like watching Chriss progress and he is going to be an asset to this roster even when he's no longer a starter. Starting is going to help Chriss to know what he can do well in whatever minutes he gets next year.

Alc, Do you reckon that the front office is hiding pascal so that teams won’t ask for him in a trade?

Lee signed a three-year deal, with a partial guarantee in 2020-21 and no protection 2021-22. I think it’s a good deal for the team. Lee’s going to have to bounce back if he wants to remain on the roster in the future.

QH, I respect that you feel the loss greatly. And from the game, it seems like Philly, with its strong ties to Kobe, was the same. It's definitely a beautiful thing to understand how these bigger life events can give us better perspectives on our lives. For me, part of how I deal with things is to try to move on, and rejoice in what we do have going on. For this reason, I was really grateful that this video was 70% AA talking about the 76ers/Warrior game while not forgetting our specific moment in time. I could not handle yet another tribute, no matter how touching--and watching our team fight and prepare for the next season was sorely needed.

Kerr was asked a week ago or so..He was very short and mysterious about his status. Almost made it seem like it was not a basketball injury.

I understand. The thing is Kobe's legacy and impact is so strong, we will never have to move on. He will always be felt. The fear of forgetting too fast is natural, but in this case he will never be!

Yo what the hell is up with Looney? I remember in the beginning of the year we were all so stoked to see his progression, now it feels like he’s battling a season ending mystery injury ...

This is the first time I've ever experienced loss and grief in such a personal level. The thing makes me feel that a lot of our differencs and opinions are so petty and really don't matter. I think experience like this brings people together. I have a hard time watching this video or any basketball related videos because I just don't want to feel like life continues as nothing happened

It almost seems like a conscious decision to take a step back with him. Part of it is teams are aware of him now. Tough decision for Philly if they have to make it. Peak Embiid for 3-4 years or 10-12 years of BS?

Possibly..it seems like when Dray plays EP tends to disappear.

I think you nailed it...this is last real shot here this last 40 gm. Id like to see him play a little harder, he just doesn't seem that hungry to be out there.

I would really like to see them run Pascal at the 3 more often and get him some more minutes. Like how we're forcing dlow to adopt off ball he's going to need to play the 3 for us more often next season. And if Philly were to break up maybe they move embiid instead. The DLo move there would be very interesting too

I'm hoping the reason for the minutes being less for the rooks is us trying to gain value for poetional trades. I think after the deadline we'll adjust back to giving them confidence on the court.

Evans still gets love (from Kerr, etc.) based on the few games late last season and then this summer league where it looked like he'd turned a corner. Then he got hurt, was out for quite a while, and now can't find his footing again, can't find that sort of "court sixth sense" it seemed like he had gained. They need more looks to officially be done with him. Poole is here longer, so they can wait a bit.
