Thanks, good points, ParadoxLover. I havenβt checked yet, but Iβd be willing to guess that none of these three have been known as good defenders in College, besides maybe blocked shots from Kat...

Draymond out with back tension? It's like when I invite a new guest to my house I lock up my dog in the back room for the first while, so they don't get barked at and will feel welcomed.

Don't know if Aaron Gordon really fits on the team next year. If we draft Wiseman were gonna be stacked at the 4/5 position. Would love to see Wiggins run with Steph and Klay. He could be a good release valve when we need that extra person to step up.

Westbrook won dpoy back in ucla. Now he's hardly a good defender, if anything he is pretty bad off ball and doesn'tr try hard on ball. Defense is less stamina consuming in college with all the zone being played. Not to mention in the NBA the incentive is to pad your offensive stats so stars will save as much energy as possible for that. That's why we lucky to have Steph and Klay who don't do anything of the sort.

I still donate to Alchemy every month, but I have to admit that I have been just ignoring the Dubs because, well, you know, this is a season when Steph and Klay finally get a long needed rest. But, these young bloods have become a LOT better than they were in the last game I watched over a month ago. Now, of course, they were not going to beat the Lakers. But, they are now looking like a really GREAT bench for when Steph, Klay, and Draymond get back.

I find the whole friendship thing between DβAngelo, Booker and Kat so interesting... I mean, I canβt remember three totally gifted, strangely slow-paced scorers who donβt play defense all being such good friends...habits are an interesting thing. I really wonder if they just never had to play defense to win before the nba and simply never have believed its necessary...how is it possible that they all would be like that, Alchemy, any thoughts?

yeah as alc mention norvell put poole on skates a couple of times and low key was givin' the chef the business. I was surprised when the Lakers waved him. He an undersized two guard in today's NBA. Probably similar to CJ McCollum but he is 22 on a 10 day. It better convert.

Alch is right again an entertaining game of nearly all positives. The early season Portland game was great, the Rockets win on Christmas day also great but this loss was not far behind them. I was smiling the entire game. Wiggins is a fit, the fast pace with the young players will prepare them for next year and the style the Dubs want to play, Chriss was super, Ky protects the ball, delivers it and can beat most players off the dribble, Poole benefits from the faster pace and had a decent shooting game and finally as a group, all the Dubs competed on defense. Fun stuff.....look out NBA.

Yo!!!! I was hyped to see that kid Zach Norvell on the squad. We better sign him, he can shoot. He gave the fully loaded warriors (minus Klay) a problem in preseason and dropped 29. The Lakers couldn't sign him because of their previous commitments but I think he's the next Kendrick Nunn type g-league prospect, we better not lose him!

Lakers fans would have been on suicide watch if we won this and we almost did if it weren't for them shooting abnormally well.
Still laughing my ass off at people that thought Wiggins was a worse defender than DLo. He was clamping everyone and had 5 steals. Chriss and Wiggins both shot 80% TS, that's amazing.
You right about the fast pace. Even KD hurt us sometimes when he casually strolled over to half court, which is NOT the way Curry and Draymond wants to play. We lost our 2016 identity when we were not able to push like we did. Kings are doing a lot worse this season for a similar reason, they've had some big injuries but alao play much slower.

If Wiggins can come with this kind of energy every night then I think we won the trade. Yeah, Norvell Jr. was definitely brought in there for a reason. They didn't even use Damion at the end of the 4th quarter. Do you think that they brought Norvell in to spark up Poole as well? Poole was pretty efficient last night but like you said it might be due to quicker pace of the team now. You mentioned that Bradley. AD got chipped up as well. I'm wondering if these guys hold up at by the end of the season.

Feels odd to complain about Wiggin's "motor" when we're watching Anthony Davis only play at 60% and have seen plenty of games where Draymond or Andre were taking the night off.
The test is going to be how he plays during meaningful games. Until that happens, I just want to see him mentally engaged and making an effort to fit in our system. The guy clearly has all of the physical gifts and ability so we know he can succeed.
He's playing with a lot of hungry, young, positive guys who are all excited to play basketball and are all pushing each other to succeed. We've got some great player development coaches and have heavily invested in our youth. He's in a very good environment for success.

I was very upset with the trade, but watching Wiggins engaged, defending and buying into the system started to change my mind. I really hope he keeps this up and adds some muscle.
He also needs to improve his passing, help defense, and off ball movement, but overall I'm just excited to see how things develop
