The guys haven't played with him for 4 months. It would've made more sense to incorporate him into the team on March 1 against a team with the worst defensive rating.

Bailey

You can tell he likes playing defense as much if not more than offense. He talks out there on both sides. And he is becoming a good passer out of the high post and on the short roll.

Athletic Alchemy

Welcome Tao! 🙏🏽

Athletic Alchemy

Fun game, fun video. Great start to my Saturday. Thank you.

e40

'Quese might be the most slept on player in the league right now.

Ezra Abbey

I think thats what happened at the start of the season as well, steph was playing at 150% speed and the rest of the team looked completely lost

Kevin Chan

Alc, I'm a new patron. Love your work. Nothing much else to say at the moment. Just wanted to share the love

Tao Rodriguez-Seeger

Alc, it seems like bender does well against slow footed centres but struggles against fast 4/5’s. Maybe using him like a specials team in Football would be good

Paul Byun

Damion Lee definitely played a good game, but those wide open misses sure didn't help us. Bender is just hard to watch out there. Also, just imagine if we had Klay out there taking those wide open 3's instead of Lee. And if Draymond was in there instead of Bender and Chriss was the 5. The youngins was sped up, they definitely felt some playoff vibe from the chase center because of the chefs return. We look ready for next year, we just need more reliable centers and wings.

adrian salazar

The baby dubs need not be star struck with Steph. He's not a hero ball type player. They just need to keep doing them. Ironically Damian Lee was the only one that came out there and played his game since he has most history with the Chef.

Anthony Gray

NO NO NO.... PLEASE WE'VE SEEN ENOUGH FROM THE DRAGON. SEND HIM TO THE G.LEAGUE.

Anthony Gray

I’d make him do wall sits all practice 😃... that and maybe some speed ladder and yoga.

Athletic Alchemy

14:52 is a perfect example of subtle gravity. Curry had two guys from the corner follow him and Lowry completely forgot about Lee who could have had an open 3, then you got the two guys in the center get pulled away so Wiggins had the freedom to drive inside. It's just pure chaos.

Paradox

Thanks! Yeah if it is of no real cost might as well see what he does in our developments system. problem is feet and hips are god given imo

Athletic Alchemy

I can slander D Lee for most games, I won't do it for tonight since he actually hooped for the first time in a meaningful game since I don't know how long. Now that being said, Bender can get all this slander. Dude really played like trash and showed no signs of being a competent NBA player in his 1st 10 days with us. I don't care about his games against the Suns and Nuggets when he keeps tricking the easiest layups and being Trae Young levels of aggravating to watch as a defender. And the worst part about it is that the Warriors FO has an out to keep playing that Bum bc of Looney getting nuked by the injury bug the whole year.

William Mitchell

bender is hard to watch. nice passes tho

Tony Stark

Awesome breakdown alch! I couldn't believe Bender got a 2nd 10 day contract. Telecast said that the staff just thought he was playing nervous and needed to loosen up... Definitely agree with you that he just has stiff hips and bad footwork. Maybe keep him in the G league for another year to work on the footwork at least?

Adam Johnson

You feel me! obviously Dray is a very unique dude...but Chriss has a lot of the same characteristics just in a more traditional body and style. Don't get me wrong this pick is going be important , but it low key feels like house money after stumbling into MC.

Athletic Alchemy

I think we night be able to bring back gr3 as well in a minimum given how bad he's been in Philly. Tough to find guys in our tpe range teams would actually be willing to sell ☹️

Simhesh Shastry

Probably better off with GR3 if thats the case..we know the fit

Athletic Alchemy

Thats my read too! Last night they were saying the Warriors are trying to build his confidence...IDK

Athletic Alchemy

Alch, you blew my mind with "Chriss is the new Draymond" because I think you could be right. Not next season, of course. Maybe not the season after, but it could (should?) happen. If Smiley develops in two (three?) years, they may want to play Chriss + Smiley as the front court and Chriss will be the one making the reads, setting screens, passing, directing the offense and defense and being the guy who cleans up the defensive mistakes from the blind side. Chriss is the biggest "get" for us this season. I love the potency of Paschall and the potential of Poole, but Chriss is a legit reliable big who is still damned young and has tremendous upside.

Thomas Ogas

Great breakdown as always alch 👌 Curious what you think of Taurean prince. He's been underperforming with the nets so we might be able to snag him for cheap using our tpe. Would be a solid bench wing

Simhesh Shastry

I think everbody had enough of lowry, but you gotta give him credit, he nearly perfected the aging point guard style. Stutter-step into transition threes, and trying to get fouls whenever he's inside the arc, most time he doesn't even try to finish his layups. Also last time you mentioned how the Phoenix telecast talked about Bender, he looks to me like he's a cocky asshole. He just has this smurk all the time like he's got everything figured out and doesn't need guidance, I don't know maybe it's just me

Toulivinho

💯

Athletic Alchemy

I think lowering the angle and speeding up that overhead/ behind back pass is going to be his new thing. Especially since MC and EP catch everything

Athletic Alchemy

I was surprised by the 'flops' Curry was using which seems to have improved ever since he played the Raptors in the finals. Well kind of a flop, a lot of these defender is right about to be in his space. We're not talking Lowry level flop here. His passing also looked fresh despite being absent for so long.

Paradox

He forgot the mission for a bit

Paradox

LMAO Damian it's gon be aight homie. We tankin bruh

Freddie D

Not a bad game. I think for the rest of the season the most important thing is for the team to get used to Steph. He seems 50% faster than the rest of them.

Yeah, it was a good game. Man, I felt bad for D-Lee. TNT did him wrong with those close ups lol. Hopefully, it was learning experience for him. I definitely think Moulder could pick up some tips from Steph on moving without the ball. I caught him a few times just chilling on the perimeter.

Jason Williams

ALC what u think about about playing bender as a PF with Chris as a Center. Cuz he looks so helpless guarding those bigs

He is flawed, we knew that going in..but he seems to be buying in and fits with the ball movement culture

Athletic Alchemy

Right! People on twitter thought I was criticizing him his game, but I was just teasing him about being on the verge of tears. I wanted to make it clear in the breakdown he played well.

Athletic Alchemy

Noticed that too..I think Toronto's multiple closeouts might have had him iffy with landing.

Athletic Alchemy

Even Alch got more energy from Steph......

Francisco Hazel

We haven't really got to see Myers philosophy in the lottery..I feel like he is a BAP guy. But Yeah Chriss has shown enough to at least make you think about it.

Athletic Alchemy

Such a great game to watch and have steph back. I do think he looked really good out there after he shook off the rust and nerves. Its very apparent how much of a great impact he has when Klay is out there as well. Im liking Wiggins more and more, I hope they give him a run next year with the full squad. Unless there is a huge offer on the table this summer, we should see how he looks.

Matt Hanna

Damion Lee with no sleep last night thinking about those missed FTs and clear paths lol. but i thought without lee last night, we could have been blown out.

Steven Barba

1) no lie, you post these exactly when I sit down to eat lunch during my study breaks and it is so clutch 2) I damn near think McCaw put up a 0-0-0, or at least it felt like it. 3) does it feel like Steph is looking for the foul on his 3s too much? Lots of spread legs and stuff. 4) Chriss is the steal of the year.

Sevrin Weiss

Alch do you think Marquese will impact how the warriors draft with the pick?

Dirty Spud

Man I missed the Chef. Good stuff. Hopefully he can build some chemistry with the young boys.

Dirty Spud

This reminded me a lot of the 73 win season. Stayed close the whole game, then explode towards the end and take the W. Just this season they want to lose. Lee must just be there to make sure they tank when Brother In Law goes nuclear.

Nathan Glanzer

😁

Athletic Alchemy

Poole looks like he can be as elite a playmaker as you can be coming off the bench. EP I think it’s more matchup based. Teams playing that drop coverage like in Denver the other night. Let’s him get right to that pull up.

Athletic Alchemy

Alc had me refreshing like im looking for my next fix lmao.

It was a fun game, Steph, Wiggins, Chriss, E.P. wow they are going to be something next year.

Steven Stanley

I haven't been able to see many games cause I have been streaming a lot when they play but I cancelled to watch this and glad I did. Also kinda glad they lost. Can't stop the tank now!

Nathan Glanzer

Mann. I'm excited for our players getting used to Steph being back and figuring out our combos for next year. I'm curious about who's controlling the ball in that bench team. Wiggins/Poole/Paschall - who's controlling the ball? Both Jordan & Eric work better with ball in hand. Small issues, but already on my mind. Curious to see how Mike handles rotations next year.
