🙏🏽... he has OKC and Sam Presti written all over him

Athletic Alchemy

Love how you really dig deep like how you point out he only he effective inside on the smaller players with how he does his jump hook. Your scouting is great as always! He looks alright. If a good team gets him he could possibly become and All NBA defender. If a bad teams gets him he'll have a lack luster career possibly.

I think it’s subjective.. too me it’s do you defend the 4 and the 5. PG & Siakam are listed at 6’9... but Siakam defends 4-5 where PG Mostly defends wings. But others may only consider centers or guys close to 7ft as a true “big”

Athletic Alchemy

Alch, besides the obvious answer, size, what defines a “big” in your opinion? Is it positional, is it stylistic? I’m eager to learn more about the terminology. As always, please forgive my ignorance. I’m an insatiably curious person

Tao Rodriguez-Seeger

There some similarities, Siakam’s hip bend and ability to get low with the ball for a big is crazy. But he should be a like defender.

Athletic Alchemy

I could be tripping, but Reed almost reminds me of Siakam in some ways. The way he reacts defensively and his shaky jumper....really does look like he picked up basketball at a later age as well. Love the breakdown as always, thanks Alch!

Interesting player, like that comp. Good stuff as always.

John Z

If they really plan to go forward with Fultz, then they needs shooters around him. knox has been a disappointment, but he is Orlando's "Type" both teams are front court heavy, it be tough.

Athletic Alchemy

yeah hes got a be a 1 or 2 dribble guy..I think he should go late teens early 20s.

Athletic Alchemy

Hey Alc, thanks for another breakdown. You see New York having anything that Orlando might want? A guard, wing or pick? Wonder if the Warriors could trade back with the Knicks to get Gordon.

orion

Appreciate the full spectrum of guys you have been covering for this draft. Not just the lotto picks, but some of these cats that have the chance to be a steal for us if we trade down. I gotta say tho this kid looks like even in the post hes gunna cough that thing up, just looks uneasy with the ball at times.

QuickMatts

I mean he does shoot it with confidence! But there are a lot of mechanics to iron out. I have to take a look at Nesmith and maybe Pat Williams and the big kid up at Washington in ordder to complete my big board. Then Im jump into our young guys.

Athletic Alchemy

Thank You Alch! Much clearer understanding of who he will be as a player but I have high hopes for him to be a much better player so long as he wants it for himself and gets in that gym. You’re probably done with checking out prospects for now but if you get bored enough there’s Malik Fitts. He’s 6’8” who can do a lil but if everything in offense and defense with a much better shot than Reed. Not as good on defense but is a much better ball handler. Player to look out for with the Warrior’s second round picks.
