This is the 2nd video in the Strong Towns series. It goes live on Monday, but I'm releasing it early for Patrons.
This is an important video to set the stage on what will (eventually) be a series of videos about suburban-style development. This video is based off of the Strong Towns case studies of traditional development vs. suburban development.
It's amazing that a city can bulldoze old "blighted" buildings, and build something less valuable in its place. But that's exactly what's happening all over the US and Canada.
Of course, even if you did want to build something in the "traditional" style it wouldn't be possible, due to planning regulations. But that will be the topic of a future video.
I think after this, I'm going to take a break from Strong Towns subjects, and try to finish some of my more typical videos. I will come back to Strong Towns occasionally throughout the year.
Enjoy!
