When I was visiting family in Fake London over the holidays, I decided to walk to buy a bag of milk.
I had this idea for a while to make a YouTube Shorts/TikTok video of walking to buy a bag of milk (instead of driving, like everybody else does). So a few weeks ago I filmed it and posted the results of that here:
YouTube Shorts version: https://youtu.be/PO4k2Svd92s
TikTok version: https://www.tiktok.com/@notjustbikes/video/7053790853952818438
The YouTube version already has over 1.4 million views in 5 days. 😲
But there was so much more to be said about this "normal" walk in the suburbs of Fake London. It is definitely *possible* to make this walk (there are sidewalks), but it's not pleasant, and I think that's interesting. So I made an 8 minute "extended edition" of what it's like to walk just a little over a kilometre through car-dependent suburbia to buy milk.

Enjoy!
