App Update: AI Pit App v2.6

This is a really nice quality of life update:

  v2.6 Update:

I have also started tested in versions higher than CSP0.2.2. Initial tests with CSP 0.2.4 Preview have resulted in no errors other than AI not pitting under wet conditions. I will continue testing.

Hi yeah there are two ways. 1) unpack, edit the cars data file regarding default fuel, then repack. 2) On my race department (The overtake) page i have a free app to match player fuel with ai. Which you can use to also make them have the same race fuel you start on. 👍🏼

D.Nuzzo

Hi yeah there is a bug regarding that I will fix for the next update version 👍🏼

D.Nuzzo

isnt there a way to edit the fuel quantity of the ai? becuase im afraid some of them will not start on a full tank

Haze

Seems like cars at the back of the field don't pit. I think it's, once they lose the lead lap, they lose track of what lap they're on and can't pit on the specified lap.

(Just to help - I meant the how far forward the AI moves before it reaches its pitbox, not the offset distance. I've played with setAISplineAbsoluteOffset and I understand that's the offset distance from the AI line. So I'm not even sure if you can control when the AI swerves. 😂 Maybe driverLiveDistanceFromBox?)

MK

Cool! Also, one thing, I've noticed that when its tight between the demarcation of the pitlane and the last pitbox, the relevant AI is not able to swerve or displace itself to gently roll to stop at its pitbox. Example - on aa_ims (indy 500 layout), the last pitbox is so close to where the pitlane begins. That layout can support up to 43 opponents. AI opponent 40-43 are not able to smoothly displace themselves to stop. In norisiring, which supports about 35 opponents, AI number 20-35 will hit an inner wall and get stuck. :D So it would be cool if you can shorten that swerving distance so that these incidents don't occur. I understand that you can't get the AI to snap to its pitbox like it would in vanilla AC, but yeah, its a bit rough. 😂

MK

Really, because I had a quick few tests skipped straight to the race(on a race weekend) and rather than some of AI going to the pits they all did. Oh btw this is Debaser just on my new creator account 👋🏻

R24 Mods

Sorry, CSP 0.2.4 Preview. When testing with that in the dry, I haven't found any bugs yet. (In the Wet they won't pit or do anything but will race normally without stops.)

D.Nuzzo

Yeah, that would be a cool idea! As there is no UI or info for our pit strategy! (I might make a separate app for this soon!) Thanks for the idea.

D.Nuzzo

Has 0.2.4 been released? I have only found and now installed the preview version of it.

Debaser

Hi, if you open up the pit app from the right side bar, it will show you information regarding each drivers strategy in the ui window 👍🏼

D.Nuzzo

Hi, yeah im currently looking into supporting preview builds of CSP. Currently CSP 0.2.4 works when not in wet weather 👌🏼 Thanks

D.Nuzzo

For me, the AI aren't even moving, or going straight to the pits. I've tested with CSP 0.2.2 and 0.2.3 using RSS formula 3 v6 on a race weekend scenario on several tracks. If I take out or disable the app and everything is back to normal. #Tested further and if I do what another person said and turn off Rain FX extension, you're mod works without a problem. Hope you can find a fix as it's a good mod... With this issue fixed it will be perfect!

Debaser

Same here too

Debaser

Hey Nuzzi! An idea - could we potentially get an app in-race that shows us the pit strategies we've set? Or like the lap range. Would be cool for it to pop up like a lap before its time to pit.

MK

The same happened to me

Lucas Costa

ok maybe i found the error: it's RainFX, when RainFX is disabled it's all ok, when this is activate the problem comes back!

Fulvio Santamaria

thank you, that would be really nice

Darky TV

OK, I'll run some tests and see if anything needs fixing!

D.Nuzzo

No, unfortunately the problem occurs on a dry track only on weekends and custom championship.

Fulvio Santamaria

Hi, that is a bug that I thought I had fixed. I'll take another look to see if any of my code is causing lap times to become invalidated.

D.Nuzzo

Hi Fulvio, if you are doing a wet weather race, it appears rain FX forced all AI to pit for the wet tyres. I am looking to see if there is a way to override this.

D.Nuzzo

Hi Nuzzi, i have a problem whit app, before starting the race I set the number of pits, tyres, etc but when the race starts, as soon as the lights go out, all the cars go to the pits! I tried both version 0.2.1 and 0.2.1 preview. This happens in the custom championship or quick weekend.

Fulvio Santamaria

Love the work, but satly you can`t look at the ai fastest laps after the race, which is a bummer

Darky TV

Hi, glad you are enjoying the apps! Tyres can be applied differently per car, so I'm not sure. Thanks :)

D.Nuzzo

Fulvio Santamaria

work rate <3

I have installed all your updated apps on csp 0.2.1 then 0.2.2 and 0.2.3. Only app I deleted is remove stopped AI. I have a consistent problem with getting most of the AI cars on the starting grid stranded over Weekend races, but works well in quick race.
