Thirsty Thursday Thoughts

Henlo my dudes... I've got the clear splashy next to me in my hotel room at Superstars.

*deep sigh*

I am learning SO much. Especially things like, I'm a journeyman. I can do things, I can make some stuff happen, but my craft still has so much room to expand and get better.

On that note...

Deathless

Yeah, I'm rewriting it. I know, I know, 20k words done and I'm like "welp this just isn't going to work"

I'm still having fun with it, and I love the idea, but there's some MAJOR changes that need to take place. I'm rewriting the outline and can hopefully get it approved quickly since I have direct access to the bossman right now. Then, you should see brand new chapter 1 coming in like... a week? IDK... I hope sooner than that but we'll see.

BUT WHY you ask? The MC wasn't working for me. He was bland and middle of the road and I didn't know what I'd done wrong until I went through this talk. I also have a WAY MORE COMPELLING antagonist to go up against Rhen, since previously... ugh Ferra... she was so anime trope bleh. Anyway... things are getting fixed. Things will be better. I promise.

Monster Haven

No more updates here for a bit. Everything is done except arts for book 2 and 3, and title treatment (happening now). You'll see some of that come in, but as for my TTT, you won't see any more of those until movement happens.

LIFEZORS

Yeah so, whew, lifezors... I'm here at the con and it's great. I got to sit in Jim Butcher's Crafting Protagonists and Antagonists which REALLY set me down the road to rewriting Deathless.

He also told some fun stories, man, his origin story was SO good. He really pulled us all in and was engaging. He's amazing. I wish I could tutor under him or something. I guess next best is I should read some of his books (shh I know... I'm horrible.)

Missing my baby dog... keep getting these thoughts like she'll be there when I get home from the con. =( I'll be okay.
