Charge upfront - Details

I have enabled "Charge upfront" on patreon. In the interest of clarity, I thought i'd write a quick post with all the most relevant info.
Will it impact existing patrons?
No. This WILL NOT CHARGE existing patrons; it only affects new patrons. To reiterate, there is NO change whatsoever for existing patrons if you maintain your current tier of support.
Why?
Now that I have a year's worth of exclusive content, I feel like people should not be able to join, get the exclusive content, and leave before they have to pay anything. It's disrespectful towards me, and towards you guys who are paying for the exclusives.
How does it work for new patrons?
When a new supporter joins (or an existing supporter upgrades their tier) they pay the fee immediately. From the next month on, they will pay at the start of the month as usual.
