The Phoenix Flavour - Release 4.0
Added 2021-02-09 12:15:38 +0000 UTCWe're here, finally, after such a long time. After months of figuring out where to take 4.0 and weeks of bringing it there, it has now reached the point where we consider it polished enough for release.
Wabbajack: TPF 4.0 will hit the UI later tonight or tomorrow.
Summary of changes
A lot happen up till 4.0 and during the beta phase. For a full overview, please check the changelog on the website. Below is a rather limited summary but it should give you an idea of where TPF is going in 4.0.
These are the major changes:
- Lots of custom work by Umgak, including patches and two new mods!
- Wabbajack is now handled by me. Instructions are on the website.
- Mods were added or removed to return to the original V+ premise.
- Stream-lined many parts of the guide. ENB is back in Finalisation and semi-required.
- Added instructions to rebuild Occlusion with SSELODGen.
- Added a fledgling (read: to be expanded) Gameplay Guide.
- Return to the vanilla loot system, no more Morrowloot.
- Fixed a ton of bugs, oversights, confusing instructions, and more.
Notable additions:
- Cathedral Player and NPC Overhaul
- Cathedral 3D Pine Grass
- aMidianBorn Armor Variants Lite
- Manbeast - A Werewolf Overhaul
- Skyrim Uncapper + Cheshyr's Preset
- Reliquary of Myth
- QuickLoot
Notable removals:
- Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer (CBBE)
- Windsong Immersive Character Overhaul
- Ethereal Elven Overhaul
- Nether's Follower Framework
- Alternate Start - Live Another Life
- Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade
- Relationship Dialogue Overhaul
- Content Addon (Forgotten City, Inigo, Lucien)
- Morrowloot Miscellania
Some users are likely going to balk at this list. Reasons for the removal of each listed mod are in the beta changelogs but ultimately the reason for each of them was "too much work for too little gain" or "bloated with features and not vanilla plus". If you are no longer interested in TPF following these changes, feel free to check the Wabbajack UI for other lists more to your tastes.
