TPF May Update

Hi all!

First up, it's been awhile (almost a full month since the last update) - sorry about that. Part of the reason for the long silence is the project I slaved on for the past week or so which is now finally out: Modular Armory is a FOMOD-based alternative to Cathedral Armory with some different asset choices and obviously it was made for TPF. This is one of the big changes / additions in the upcoming update.

State of TPF 4.5

After some internal discussion we decided to declare TPF 4.5 unsupported. The website isn't going away and the Wabbajack installer is still up but as usual the modding scene has kept in motion and it's become quite outdated by now.

On the upside, I'm working on TPF 4.6 and it's quite meaty.

4.6 Changes

Facegen: Unfortunately generating all facegen at once causes the CK to mess up occasionally (currently Urag gro-Shub has messed up facegen, some other orcs too, likely). Since that means it will always have to be generated in batches, it'll take more time so in the future I'll simply do it on my end and upload the optimised output on the TPF Nexus page.

Performance: Since the performance impact increased in 4.5 (grass mod change), there's even more reason for me to write that performance guide - changes that will improve your FPS. This is on my list for 4.6 and will likely be part of TPF-X.

Widescreen: The widescreen page is outdated. I'll try to fix that for 4.6 (no promises).

Welcome to Paradise

I believe I already mentioned that I'm working on an update for WTP. It would essentially be ready hadn't I started to think about dropping Workshop Rearranged (a nightmare for consistency patching with other mods) and add some modular solutions. Not sure yet.

Alright, that's it from me. Gotta rest my arm a bit (Modular Armory really took its toll) so it doesn't get inflamed or something, then it's back to regular TPF work after digging in NifSkope for a week.
