Hello lovelies!
Against my better judgement I decided to take off the Easter holiday. I have two papers due very soon, five presentations, an essay, a group project, and then finals all within the next six weeks. Oh, and regular homework/reading assignments as well, of course. Before I started studying, everyone told me how being at University is so great because you get so much free time. That was a lie.
But while I've been largely absent on Discord over the past few weeks, I did manage to tinker with TPF a little (more about that below). To my boundless relief, it also turned out that at least some of my depression and never-ending fatigue was due to iron/vit d3 deficiencies and being on supplements actually helps a lot. With some luck, I'll get to a point where I'll have enough energy left to work on modding in the evening after uni.
Anyway, you came for the modding updates so here we go.
I just posted LOTF 2.4 which is another major update with more Creation support. The list also just got the DroppedIceCream treatment, meaning we now have a beautiful video showcase! I linked it in this post, so definitely go check it out. DIC captured some amazing shots and I'm very proud.
My own playthrough of LOTF is going splendid. I made it to level 50 for the first time ever, found the Aetherium Forge, acquired Auriel's Bow (about to finish Dawnguard!), and played a bunch of creations. About 100 hours into the game, I'm halfway through the main quest, barely touched faction quests, and did not go to Solstheim yet. In that time, I had fewer bugs than in 40 hours of AC: Valhalla and no crashes at all.
I like this game.
This, I assume, is what most people are waiting for. As I am working on it, TPF 5.0 is morphing into something quite different from previous iterations. I have my vanilla-like playground with LOTF so with TPF 5.0 I'm looking to try something new. It has actually changed so much that I am considering a rebrand.
I can't give you any release date estimation. The final few weeks of my first semester are going to be quite insane (and I'm more than a little anxious about that), but afterwards I will have three full months of holidays. Of those, I will be spending a month with my family. The other two I can basically work fulltime on TPF and I hope to finish 5.0 in that time.
I can promise you, however, that it'll be my best work yet, simply on account of the fact that my brain fog is going down thanks to the supplements I'm on. I am able to concentrate better, actually have ideas, feel more confident, and for the first time, I'm actually achieving things I always wanted TPF to do. I really hope the wait will be worth it!

And that's all from me for today. I hope you are all having a wonderful day, wherever you are and hopefully I'll be back soon with a meatier update. =)
