Timeline for upcoming stuff
Added 2024-04-15 12:39:57 +0000 UTCHeya, so the Pokemon project took way longer than expected but with it out of the way I can work on the next projects.
The next one (should be out in mid May) will be a 5 games in Pygame video where I make 5 shorter games to cover a range of topics: An intro (space shooter), managing multiple stages (not sure what game yet), then a Vampire survivor top down game and a Mario style platformer; and finally a Pokemon game that is very simply and quite similar to the original
After that, it's going to be an ultimate introduction to data analysis & visualisation in python, so numpy, pandas, matplotlib etc. This should be out in late June.
After that it's going to be a lot of Godot. I was hoping to have a Godot shader video for June but Godot 4.3 is going to make some changes to the visual shaders so that delayed things a bit. However, after the data video it's going to be all Godot for the rest of the year. I am hoping to make a 3D one, 2 shader videos (2D and 3D), a mobile game one and an online multiplayer. That should cover the rest of the year :D
Also, let me know if there is something you'd like to see; my plans are often quite flexible :)

That's an interesting point, I'll try to include it in the next video :)

2024-04-20 14:12:39 +0000 UTCI'd like to know more about the process behind planning out an application before you even start coding. I often feel like I'm "doodling" when I code, so I feel like maybe I need to get better at general planning and architecture.
