Having finished with Tiana, Seth looked at the list the system had prepared for him. Four had correctly answered 19 of the 20 questions he had prepared. One of them only got 18 of the 20 questions.

Seth didn’t question the system and went straight to the Knight’s Quarters. After taking down the job, he posted the answers so that people won’t think he scammed them, even if he did, and also posted a list of the five youngsters, asking them all to come to the throne room two days later.

After finishing one of his chores, he returned to his chambers. He focused on creating books containing technical knowledge from the future, naming the books simply science and splitting them into volumes, making them easier to follow.

This way, they would only have to start with volume 1 and learn everything before moving on to volume 2. He hoped to be able to teach these students himself, but with the Molly incident and his need to depart sooner than he expected, he had no choice but to once more dump the responsibility onto someone else.

After creating enough books to last the children for an entire year, it was time for the most challenging part. With a heavy sigh, he teleported straight into Hollie’s office.

Hollie felt him as soon as he appeared and looked up from the book she was reading. Noticing his expression, she shook her head and asked: “What do you want now?”

“What makes you think I want something?” asked Seth, smiling wryly.

Hollie waved her hand, and a small mirror from the side flew right in front of Seth’s face. “That.”

Seth laughed and said: “Fine. I get your point. I do indeed need something from you.”

“What is it?”

“You know I told you about that human knowledge and how I’m planning to teach -“

“Oh, you want me to dump them on me?” interrupted Hollie. “That’s fine. What do I get?”

“What do you want?” asked Seth, knowing she must already have something in mind by how quickly she accepted.

“Since I don’t mind teaching and reading that much, I’m going to let you off easier this time. I want recipes.”

“Huh?” asked Seth.

“Food recipes.” Repeated Hollie.

“What for? You don’t even need to eat food.” Asked Seth in bewilderment.

“How is that of any relevance to you? Do we have a deal or not?” asked Hollie.

“Fine. Deal.” Replied Seth immediately, quickly pulling some future recipes from the system and putting them into two books, which he created and placed on her desk.

“Good. You can go. Give me the theory you want me to teach to those brats, and let me know when you finally put the class together.”

Seth felt a little awkward and took a quick peek at her aura. Noticing it was bright blue and moving towards the recipe books, he just stood up.

“I don’t want you to simply teach them. I made sure to test their thirst for knowledge in the test I prepared for them and even double-checked it, but since you, of all people, should understand what I’m looking for the best, I hoped you would test the kids’ character as well.”

“I’ll do it.” Replied Hollie.

Seth nodded and teleported away.

‘Don’t tell me she’s becoming a food junkie like Caitlin….’

“I could get used to this delegating thing…” muttered Seth back in his room while pulling out the task list Hollie had given him.

‘System, how are my sources going?’

‘These fucking irregular sources… the balance is a complete mess.’

Deciding to worry about balance later, he looked towards the task list and started pouring his lust energy into vials.

‘Since number two is still not yet checked… what is Rebecca doing?’

After his lust source was about half, Seth teleported straight into Asteria, right in front of Rebecca’s door. After taking a deep breath, he knocked softly on the door.

After waiting for a while, the door opened, and Rebecca appeared in front of him with a tired look. Seeing it was Seth searching for her, her tired expression went away immediately, and she bowed happily: “Teacher.”

“Hey, Rebecca. Are you busy?” asked Seth with a smile.

“No. I was just cultivating. Anything I can help Teacher with?”

“I found myself with some free time for a while, and I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk?”

Rebecca didn’t expect Seth to come looking for her for a simple walk, but after getting over her surprise, she nodded and said: “If Teacher gives me a moment to change, I’ll more than gladly accompany Teacher for a walk.”

After Seth nodded, Rebecca closed the door and rested her back against it, her calm expression crumbling immediately.

Placing her hands on her chest, her face turned bright red, and she kept trying to keep her breath under control.

All the girls had already suspected that Seth had other intentions for them, and, with Maya and the others giving them subtle hints here and there, they were anything but sure Seth would come to court them as well in the future.

The more Rebecca thought about it, the more she panicked, not knowing what to do.

“Rebecca? Are you alright?” asked Seth after more than five minutes had passed, and Rebecca was still not out.

Rebecca grew even more nervous and, doing her best to keep her voice from showing her anxiousness, she said: “Give me five more minutes, teacher. I can’t decide what to wear.”

“Okay. Take your time.” Said Seth.

Rebecca quickly moved to her wardrobe drawer and flung its door open. Using her water energy to promptly remove all her clothes and clean her body, she moved to her lingerie and started ransacking them one by one.

‘Too casual, too slutty, too bright, easily stain-able…’ she kept rummaging through the closet in panic, finding something wrong with each piece of lingerie that ended up in her hands.

Suddenly, after she was on the brink of mental collapse, she stumbled upon a set of pure black lingerie. It was simple but, at the same time, somewhat elegant. Knowing she had already lost too much time, she yeeted it out of the closet and put it on.

After making sure her push-up was in order and her behind didn’t look saggy, she moved on to dresses, where she once more had a hard time deciding. Fearing Seth might lose his patience and teleport inside, she grabbed a pure-red, long dress.

‘I can’t go wrong with this one.’ She thought before wearing it and moving to quickly arrange her hair.

Now that she moved on to shoes, she knew more than seven minutes had passed and grabbed a pair that went well with her dress.

Checking herself in the mirror several times, she slapped her cheeks and took a deep breath before walking slowly towards the door.

When her hand touched the door handle, her heart started beating even wilder.

‘You can do it, Becca. You can do it, Becca.’ She told herself and finally pulled the door open.

Smiling towards Seth, she said: “Sorry, teacher, for making you wait so long. I didn’t know where we were going and had trouble deciding on an outfit.”

Seth smiled and looked her up and down before saying: “No problem. It seems the wait was worth it.”

Seeing Seth extend an arm towards her, Rebecca couldn’t keep herself from blushing as she said: “Thank you.”, and grabbed Seth’s outstretched arm.

As they walked towards the stairways and down the faculty building, Rebecca felt her heart was about to burst. She kept sneaking a peek once in a while at Seth, millions of questions running through her muddled head.

“How is your cultivation going?” asked Seth, finding the silence a little awkward.

“What?” asked Rebecca, blushing fiercely and looking away in the next moment. “Teacher.”

“Your cultivation. How is it going?”

Rebecca took another deep breath, trying to mask her anxiousness before replying: “It’s going good. I recently broke into the fourth shell. Teacher’s?”

“Fourth shell as well. You might soon surpass me.” Said Seth with a smile.

“Teacher must be joking. Teacher has six energies to cultivate, while I have only one. If anything, I feel like I’m slacking off.”

Seth shook his head and said: “It is indeed a difference in cultivating multiple energies, but it’s not that huge; most of it is learning the theory. Since I already know the theory, I can skip that part. As for gathering energy, one can use all sources simultaneously to process energy, so not much time is lost there.”

Rebecca nodded back.

“That’s true, but teacher also cultivates only using mixed vials. I, as water ascended, have access to specialized vials, which makes energy gathering a lot quicker, so I should still be much faster.”

Seth could feel her hand, which was shaking slightly at the beginning, starting to calm down as they started speaking about cultivation and smiled lightly.

“Still, that time is also canceled by the time you spend understanding the theory. Your speed being just a bit faster than mine is completely normal.”

“It makes sense.” Said Rebecca lowering her head. “So, is teacher not disappointed in me? I always felt bad for being as fast as the rest.”

The two continued chatting as Seth led her toward the academy garden. Since the students were all away on their missions, there was no one to bother them. After arriving at the garden, Seth took Rebecca towards a small bench.

“I wanted to take you for a walk around the city, but you seem quite nervous, so do you mind if we sit here instead?”

Rebecca blushed at being found out and lowered her head. “I don’t mind. It’s beautiful and quiet.”

The two sat on the bench, and Seth lifted his hand in front of Rebecca. Rebecca looked towards his hand with curiosity and watched as creation energy slowly took the form of an ice cream cone.

Rebecca looked at it with curiosity and asked: “Teacher, what is this?”

“When I visited Hollie to ask her for a favor, she reminded me of some tasty food I’m sure none of you girls had before. You don’t really need to eat, but you should try it. This is called ice cream. Vanilla ice cream, to be exact.”

Rebecca extended her slim hand and caught the cone from Seth’s hand, blushing as her fingers touched his before bringing it to her nose. After smelling it once, she turned towards Seth and said shyly: “I don’t know how to eat it.”

Seth chuckled and made a cone of chocolate ice cream for himself before bringing it to his lips and giving it a lick.

Rebecca observed him, blushing even fiercer, but she still repeated Seth’s action. When her tongue touched the ice cream, she quickly pulled it back and said: “It’s cold.”

“Of course, it’s cold. Why do you think it’s called ice cream?”

Rebecca nodded and tasted the flavor on her tongue. Her eyes brightened, and she went for a second lick.

“It’s amazing. So sweet.”

Seth smiled and continued licking his own ice cream. After a while, Seth extended his towards her and asked: “This is with chocolate. Want to try it?”

Rebecca’s mental functions stopped when she heard Seth’s question. Looking towards the side Seth had just licked, which was now facing her, she blushed fiercely and was about to shake her head but stopped herself.

Bending forward, she felt her chest about to explode again as she poked her tongue out shyly and licked the same side Seth was eating from.

Moving her head back again, she nodded shyly and whispered: “It’s delicious.”

Seeing that Rebecca’s face looked like a volcano that was about to erupt, Seth stopped teasing her and continued licking his ice cream, but that didn’t help because the moment his tongue touched the place where Rebecca had just licked, she was so overwhelmed that she hiccuped.

Covering her mouth with her hand, she lowered her head and said softly: “Sorry.”

Seth nodded and continued enjoying his ice cream, but Rebecca was a mess of embarrassment, anxiety, and maybe even a trace of anticipation.

Her various thoughts were broken by a sudden cold feeling on her hand, and she turned to see that her ice cream had started melting. Seth chuckled at her panicking reaction and said: “If you don’t hurry, it will all melt.”

Rebecca moved all the melted ice cream to her mouth and blushed as she tried to swallow it. Seth pretended he didn’t see anything as he continued to enjoy his.

Once they were both done, Rebecca’s feelings also managed to get some semblance of peace. Lowering her head, she asked shyly: “Teacher, why did you ask me out today?”

Seth smiled and turned to look at her: “Oh, don’t you already know?”

Rebecca’s face flared again with his answer. She was panicking completely, not knowing what to do or say, when she felt a warm hand grabbing hers.

Looking up, she saw Seth looking at her with a kind smile while holding onto her hand. She could also see that her hand was shaking crazily into his, but as much as she tried, she couldn’t make it stop.

“Teacher, I -”

Seth rubbed her hand softly and interrupted her words.

“I already told you to call me Seth.”
