Theft

Laying in chocolate, which color had changed from all the activities going on inside, Seth was recovering for a moment before planning to wake the girls up when a notification appeared in his vision.

<Henrietta is approaching.>

Seth nodded and barely got the chance to sit up when the space in front of him broke, and a soft body landed in his arms, pushing him back down in the chocolate.

Without sparing anyone else a single look, Henrietta sought Seth’s lips and started kissing him fiercely, tears rolling down her cheeks the entire time.

Seth wrapped his arms around her body, gently holding onto her waist as he kissed her back. The two kissed for over ten minutes until Henrietta finally lifted her body and took a deep breath.

Her face kept changing between crying and smiling as she silently looked at Seth.

Seth moved his hand upwards, cupping her cheek and wiping the tear stains off before saying: “Sorry for not coming to see you myself.”

Henrietta slapped his face hard enough to turn Seth’s head to the side, leaving him stunned, but she bent down and kissed the red mark on his face right after. “I don’t care about that. You shouldn’t have done something so stupid and dangerous. Do you have any idea how worried we were?”

Seth looked back up and nodded obediently.

Henrietta bit on her lower lip before caressing Seth’s cheek and asking with a worried look: “Does it hurt?”

Seth could barely feel anything but still nodded again, worried she might slap him again if he told the truth. His choice was right as Henrietta smiled and said: “Good.”

In the next moment, she kissed him again, this time her clothes slowly going away. Once completely naked, she sat up suddenly, her breasts jiggling wildly with her movement before she said: “Now get hard. Maya took advantage of me missing again.”

Seth smiled wryly, and Henrietta fell on his rod, a content sigh leaving her lips. Henrietta kept riding Seth with her head raised high, tears slowly dripping down her cheeks, accompanying her light moans.

“Ahhh~~” As an intense orgasm passed through her body, her thighs shaking wildly, she finally stopped and fell onto Seth’s chest. “That felt good~.”

Seth wrapped his arms around her and sighed: “I’m sorry, Henrietta.”

“I know you are… you really did something stupid…”

Seth massaged her back and said: “Actually, I was not like I lost the fight… the reason I went missing for so long is that a treasure fused with my soul, putting me into a state of unconsciousness.”

Henrietta stood up with a frown and asked: “A treasure? Like this stupid sword?”

Seth nodded: “Yes, but it didn’t enter my soul as yours did. It fused with my perception source, causing a big mess. My soul had to adapt, creating a pathway for it to feed on the hope of the entire human race, which took a long time… I was laying unconscious at Loss’s border for five years….”

Henrietta’s face turned awkward, and she looked back at the sleeping Katy and Maya. “She was right….”

“Huh?” asked Seth.

“Katy kept throwing a tantrum that we should search for you more, but after Hollie and Iris did a quick search looking for your breathing around the border with Hope, we concluded you were still inside enemy territory and didn’t organize another search.”ne

Seth frowned, and the system sent him a notification.

< I’ve used perfect body control to stop all your vitals before you passed out so that others won’t find you.>

Smiling wryly, Seth said: “It was better this way. If you had found me, things might have become even worse. I used my ability to control my body to stop my heartbeat and breathing before I passed out.”

Henrietta sighed and bent to kiss his neck: “Maybe… well, it doesn’t matter now. All that matters is that you’re back. I missed, and you love you, Seth.”

Seth smiled and whispered, “I love you too, Henrietta.”

“Then you better show it to me. I’m not moving away until I fall unconscious.” Whispered Henrietta in a sensual voice as she felt Seth harden inside her again.

Seth began to have fun once more with Henrietta in the underground chamber. Maya and Katy also woke up along the way and joined the fun.

Their fun lasted for a few days until Seth received another notification.

<Hollie is approaching.>

Seth was sandwiched between his lovers, Henrietta having claimed ownership of his rod, Maya his face, and poor Katy scrapping by with his hands.

Bitting on Maya’s bottom lips, he expected her to stand up, but Maya just moaned and pressed even harder on his face.

Sighing mentally, Seth used the lust link to speak to everyone. ‘Hollie is here.’

It was like the pause button was pressed, and everyone stopped. Maya and Henrietta stood up and moved to the side, and even Katy retreated from him like has carrying a disease or something.

“What’s with this reaction?” asked Seth, and everyone lowered their heads. Henrietta spoke: “You should see her first, and we’ll speak after… we were quite rude the last time we spoke….”

Seth was surprised, not having bothered to ask the system more about it, but after seeing everyone’s reaction, he wondered if he should have. Turning towards Katy, he asked: “Even you?”

Katy shook her head while waving her hands frantically: “No, no. I just… I didn’t say anything in her defense….”

Shaking his head, Seth cleaned himself up and said: “You all better make it up to her. Henrietta, I’m going ahead. You take everyone out.”

After Henrietta nodded, Seth got dressed and teleported out to greet Hollie.

Just as he arrived outside, Seth’s found Hollie floating above the Imperial Chambers, hands behind her back and a slight smile on her lips. Seeing Seth appear, she floated towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I knew you were fine.”

Seth wrapped his hand around her waist and nodded: “You should know I would not fall so easily.”

“Did you fight Thanatos?” asked Hollie, not moving away from his arms.

“I didn’t. Atlas did, and he died for it, buying me enough time to steal hope.”

Hollie nodded and sighed. “Some things never change.” After that, she finally left Seth’s arms and looked into his eyes before saying: “Let’s go somewhere else. You can tell me everything, and I can also tell you about my research.”

Seth nodded and teleported them both inside Hollie’s room inside the Imperial Chambers. Hollie looked around the room with a wry smile before looking down. “Iris, you know I can feel your energy.”

After Seth chuckled and Iris’s energy went away, he dragged Hollie into her bed and pulled her into his arms. Hollie rested her head on his heart, closing her eyes as Seth slowly told her everything that happened in Hope.

Hollie listened to his story and then nodded: “That explains how you went missing for so long. Seth, can you open your soul to speak about my research?”

Seth looked at her with surprise before nodding. ‘Sure. What for?’

‘I want to test something.’ Said Hollie before all sorts of jumbled mess started entering Seth’s mind. He frowned and stopped Hollie by saying: ‘Stop. I can’t understand what you’re saying….’

Hollie looked up at his face with a frown. ‘Not even using the link? Who can have so much power? Is it the Tower?’

‘Maybe. Give me a moment.’

After locking the connection again, Seth spoke with the system.

‘I want you to shut down.’

<…>

<host that’s…>

‘Do I have to repeat myself?’

<…>

<All processes shutting down.>

<Automatic restart in Eta 60 minutes.>

After the last notification, Seth reopened the link and said to Hollie: ‘Try now.’

‘I’ve discovered a possible origin for the two energies of lust and perception. Can you understand?’

Seth nodded with a smile, and Hollie continued: ‘You know the info about the spirit well? The source of all souls? That’s most likely their place of origin.’

‘I kept thinking about the knowledge you left me about souls and what we knew about the two energies and figured out something. All they did was related to the soul, but as far as we knew, cultivating soul energy was impossible. The closest was life and death energy, but that still worked more on the body and only had a small effect on souls.’

‘So I started considering it the other way around. What if we couldn’t cultivate souls because a soul was a mix of energies? This way, the only way to cultivate soul energy was to cultivate the energies comprising it.’

‘If perception and lust were part soul energy, it would make sense for them to be able to influence other souls, just like water energy can influence water in nature.’

‘Since the spirit well is an entity shrouded in mystery, there were many things I couldn’t confirm, but what if we considered it a god? Like you. A will supported by a divinity.’

‘That would mean it has a source of its own. It got me thinking, mostly because of Caitlin, that energy could be split into two inferior parts. What if perception and lust were energies released from that source after such a split? Exactly how Caitlin could release either life or death.’

‘That would explain everything. It’s all theory, but I feel I’m on the right path.’

Seth listened through all her explanation with a broad smile, growing bigger with every second. As she finished her explanation and saw Seth’s expression, Hollie blinked twice in surprise and asked: ‘You knew?’

Seth shook his head. ‘Not all of it. I found out recently about Caitlin’s energy…’, Seth then proceeded to explain his chat with his lust source’s will.

‘That makes so much sense. Perception and source couldn’t be born out of the human race since that will make them treasures. They were indeed something that accompanied the human race all along, helping them instead, born out of the spirit well.’

‘But if those souls ended up incomplete after lust and perception were sapped, it means there are more energies comprising the spirit well, besides lust and perception…’ her mouth opened wide before she exclaimed in surprise. ‘Life and death. That’s it. That’s why they are so close to each other. When the spirit pool link was intercepted, Yggdrasil only intercepted the energies she didn’t understand, directing them towards her.’

‘You said Yggdrasil was building worlds inside her… she was using her energy of life and death and getting anything else she needed from the spirit well.’

Seth frowned and asked: ‘That makes sense, but the human race was immortal when it was born. That would make sense if only life energy were present inside those incomplete souls, but the death energy will prevent one from becoming immortal.’

Hollie pondered for a moment. ‘True...’

Both their eyes widened at the same time as they exclaimed in realization.

‘Someone stole death.’
