Fan Designed Creature [Rougarou]

Hey peeps!

I just wanted to show you all one of the fan designed creatures! This is the rougarou!! I think the art makes it look rather fearsome, so that's amazing!

Rougarou

Description: A pitch-black dog resembling a husky in shape and size, with shadowy wisps flowing off their fur. They have pale blue eyes and muscular frames. Their claws and teeth are rather noticeable, even when calm.

Trial of Worth: In order to bond with a rougarou, a person must resist the rougarou’s evocation for an extended period of time, fighting the urges that the creature creates.

Tier: 3

Reproduction: Fable—whenever a wolf dies naturally under the light of a Blood Moon, a Rougarou puppy is born.

Evocation: Rage—rougarous and their arcanists can evoke feelings of rage, causing nearby targets to hallucinate terrible situations. This tends to cause people to attack all those around them, though it can be resisted. Makes everyone under its effects reckless.

Manipulation: Blood—rougarous and their arcanists can control, move, and harden blood into solid objects. These objects are easily destroyed by fire. This cannot control blood inside someone’s body.

Augmentation: Shadowy Transformation—rougarous can only augment their arcanists, and when they do, the shadows on their body wrap around them and bind them to their arcanist, merging to become a singular being. The arcanist gains werewolf-like features, including black fur across their bodies, tall wolf-like ears, and an elongated canine snout. Their fingers gain claws, and they become taller and more muscular. When rougarou arcanists cannot augment others.

Imbuing: Aggression—rougarou magic will increase aggression when made into an item. This is an activatable ability that will give the wearer confidence, either in everyday life or in the heat of battle. Depending on the body part of the rougarou used, the aggression can be rather intense. If the heat of the rougarou is used, the aggression could be on par with a berserker.

Aura: Blood Moon—when a rougarou arcanist creates an aura, a fake full blood moon appears in the sky, shining scarlet. While the blood moon is high, rougarous and their arcanists have increased physical capabilities. Additionally, a feeling of anger and rage seeps into anyone who can see the moon, causing them to act recklessly and aggressively.

Innate Abilities: Immunity to mind-affecting abilities, blood diseases, and the ability to see in the dark as though it were daylight.

True Form Type: Geas—the rougarou arcanist must stop someone from killing someone else in the heat of passion (stopping a husband from killing his wife after he caught her cheating, etc.) in order for their eldrin to gain its true form. This must be done in an emotional way—causing the person to let go of their anger entirely, and not purely a physical act of stopping someone from murder.

True Form Appearance: A true form rougarou becomes human-sized. Additionally, its front paws become similar to human hands, their back legs grow slightly longer, and they become fully shadow, much like a knightmare. They walk on all fours, but in a human-like manner. Bluish ghostly wisps trail off their body at all times.

True Form Ability: Keeper of the Beast—a true form rougarou and its arcanist become invisible when standing in darkness, and leave no footprints before sunup and after sundown. They also gain immunity to soul-manipulating or -damaging magics.

In-World Lore: Rougarous are very rarely seen in person. Although not entirely rare, they are had to find as they tend to stay in dark and hard to reach places. They dont like being In sunlight so they tend to live in dark, secluded places since light is much harder to reach them. Typically this is an older swamp.  When they do interact with people, it's usually because that person has an internal struggle that they are fighting. A common struggle is them seeking revenge. The Rougarou will then try and help them resolve this struggle either by giving them advice or bonding to give them power.

When bonded, they tend to stay in their arcanists shadow during the day as it keeps them out of the sunlight. They can send out a shadow form that they use as a “astral projection” like body but it can go far as it's made from the arcanists shadow. They can, however, move freely when out of sunlight.
