Devlog #041

Hello everyone!

How are you all doing? We're doing incredibly well after the very positive release of our latest patch. If you want to know more about it, we made a special devlog this week which you can find here [link].

• Writing

We've made pretty fast progress so far, we're about 50% of the way through the script of the next chapter, or maybe a little less. Our chapters are now a bit longer than they used to be, as we have to write more deviations with the characters than before. After what happened at the party, the Church is in a very turbulent stage, Ariel is missing, the demons are in their own revolution and Lucifer wants to see the protagonist.

We don't know if we will be able to close the script this month, but that would be ideal. However, we still have some things to correct in Witch Tales and prepare other events for networks, so we might not be able to finish it.

• Art

As we've already told you, we've started drawing one of the CGs that will make up the final version of Witch Tales: Between the Seams. When we finish this CG, we'll probably do some pending stuff for social media and then we'll turn to Chronicles.

The main plan for episode 12.1 is to start with the background of the new MC's room, some new sprite versions and the three main CGs. At the moment, we don't plan any other scenery, or extra objects, but that will be seen in the course of us closing the script.

• Programming

Generally, we have a purge stage after each episode, where we make small bug fixes, but so far we haven't been notified of any substantial problems.

On the other hand, when the new room background comes in, we can program the decoration game more accurately. It's planned to be released this patch so we'll have to close it as soon as possible.

• Other

We are working on an emoji event for discord and chibis for geek pride day. We have done this kind of events before and we hope you like them as much as we do.

¿Qué tal estáis? Nosotras increíblemente bien tras la salida tan positiva de nuestro último parche. Si queréis saber más sobre ello, hemos hecho un devlog especial esta misma semana que podéis encontrar aquí [link].

• Escritura

Hemos avanzado bastante rápido hasta ahora, aproximadamente llevamos el 50% del guión del siguiente capítulo, o quizás algo menos. Ahora, nuestros capítulos son un poco más largos de lo que solían serlo, ya que hay que escribir más desviaciones con los personajes que antes. Tras lo sucedido en la fiesta, la Iglesia está en una etapa muy convulsa, Ariel está desaparecido, los demonios están en su propia revolución y Lucifer quiere ver al protagonista.

No sabemos si durante este mes conseguiremos cerrar el guión, pero sería lo ideal. No obstante, aún nos quedan cosas por corregir en Witch Tales y preparar otros eventos para redes, así que podríamos no llegar a concluirlo.

• Arte

Como ya os hemos adelantado, hemos comenzado a dibujar uno de los CGs que compondrán la versión final de Witch Tales: Entre Costuras. Cuando finalicemos este CG, lo más probable es que hagamos algunas cosas pendientes para redes sociales y después nos volquemos en Chronicles.

El plan principal para el episodio 12.1 es comenzar por el fondo de la habitación nueva del MC, algunas versiones de sprites nuevas y los tres CGs principales. Por el momento, no planeamos ningún otro escenario, ni objeto extra, pero se verá en el transcurso en el que cerremos el guión. 

• Programación

Generalmente, tenemos una etapa de purga después de cada episodio, donde hacemos pequeñas correcciones de bugs, pero por el momento no se nos ha notificado ningún problema sustancial.

Por otro lado, cuando el fondo de la habitación nueva entre, podemos programar el juego de decoración con mayor precisión. Está planeado para ser lanzado este mismo parche así que tendremos que cerrarlo en la mayor brevedad posible.

• Otros

Estamos trabajando en un evento de emojis para discord y chibis con motivo del día del orgullo friki. Este tipo de eventos los hemos hecho con anterioridad y esperamos que os gusten tanto como a nosotros hacerlos.
