No they're not, but they'll return in the next kickstarter we do, and be available via my mini factory sometime after that.

Wyrm Forge

Are these available to download anywhere still?

Twitchy Cannibal

I know I'm really late downloading these... but I can only see one supported file in the pack... The Grown Apprentice.

That is exactly what I would expect to hear, probably should use .40mm or larger anchors on the bottom/feet of them. Hadn't considered that printing at higher microns might be a factor, I test printed around 30 of them with zero fails, but I only print at .02 layers unless its terrain. Will add a todo to up the anchors on them by a bit, looking they are .30 which generally works, but they certainly could easily move up to .40 or .60 in places. Then can do an update via MMF.

Wyrm Forge

Yup, supports printed, but most pulled off, some have flat legs. I’m going to try reslicing at a .02 layer and see how that goes (or up the supports at the fail points). I just don’t have time this week to work on it, too much real life stuff happening.

Beholder.Madness

Sorry to hear that Rob, can you share how they failed? They are very simple models compared to most of our releases, but they do have a bit more of a cross section due to being mostly solid. Was the body pulling off the supports?

Wyrm Forge

I also had mostly failures with the presupported files. Everything I printed before these were fine, and a few afterward came out fine. These models just seem to be a little light on the support contacts. I even tried a single model slowing the lift speed and it still failed.

Beholder.Madness

I actually do all of my printing at .02 for non-terrain miniatures, but its all on smaller machines with higher resolution as well. On the small Epax X1-4k, and Sonic Mini 4k machines I use 6mm lift height on bottom and regular layers. Looking at the settings for my Sonic Mighty which is the same general size as the Saturn, it looks like I'm using 10mm lift heights, which seems high, but I remember having issues with the FEP stretching a lot more on these larger build size machines. Temperature will certainly affect things, especially the colder side. Outside of that though, you might try bumping exposure up another .10 or .20, or if those settings have been working fine on most models, bump the bottom anchor supports on the guards up to .40mm vs .30mm. (I can do that for you, if you don't have access to Lychee)

Wyrm Forge

Yes, I used validation matrixes to dial those numbers in, I've realized my print space while inside is maybe a touch cool so I'm going to set up a heater. The lift and retract are stock but I will try lowering them a bit. I've never printed minis at .02 before, do you have a recommended hight that you use?

Chason LaPointe

Gotcha, haven't ever touched water washable myself, so maybe that is why I've never come across the issue to date.

Wyrm Forge

How are those settings working for other objects? I'm not familiar with Elegoo abs grey much, but those seem like they should be okay, although the lift and retract speeds are higher than I typically expect, for someone not trying to use ZOOM settings. Usually I run those at more like 20/40/150. Is the resin/print area cold? Have you done any validation matrix tests to actually dial in your exposure time? Recommended can be an okay starting point, but still often varies depending on the individual printer.

Wyrm Forge

Hi, I'm printing on a saturn, two of each of the non-damaged guardsmen so there is plenty of room on the plate. Layer Hight .02 .05 Bottom count 4 Exposure 1.75 sec 2.5 sec Bottom Exposure 21 sec 25 sec Bottom Lift Distance 7mm Lifting Distance 7mm Bottom Lift Speed 70mm Lift Speed 70mm Retract Speed 210mm The .05 settings are elegoo's recommended settings for the abs like gray that I am using. the .02 was derived from the .05 using 3dprinting pro's formula.

Chason LaPointe

I haven't had any issues in the past - and to be honest, your pre-supported files have ALWAYS printed perfectly for me. It only really became a concern this time because I'm stuck using water-washable resin for a bit (gotta use it up before my wife will let me buy something different), and water-washable is notorious for slowly dissolving and cracking open when anything is left liquid inside.

Komsomoletz

Thanks for reminding me of this Adam, I will follow up on getting this fixed, although I have printed a lot of files over the last two years that have had similar small hollow spots and haven't cracked or had issues, like you normally run into with hollowing an entire model and not being able to clean it out. Have you ran into issues with these smaller voids?

Wyrm Forge

Hi Chason, that from a guess sounds like the feet/bottom supports not holding. Can you share your print settings, and resin? Also how much are you loading up the build plate? Additionally what temperature is the print happening in? This is becoming ever more important as winter sets in for a lot of us. I ended up test printing around 30 of the guards, and 2-3 of our knight without issue, but this was across 4 print sessions or so with a Epax X1/SM4K in a temperature controlled enclosure.

Wyrm Forge

I did notice during a brief inspection of the files that at least one of the guards has an enclosed hollow area behind their head under the hood - that will either need a drain hole or will need to be drilled out after printing to clean and drain it.

Komsomoletz

Has anybody printed these? I have tried 3 times now on my Saturn at .02, .04 and .05 and all I'm getting a clean supports and a smushed up blob.

Chason LaPointe

I was feeling like the whole unnamed space movie theme was going on a bit long, but I have to say, l love this release. It's pretty cool that I can actually use a lot of these in a D&D campaign, tongue in cheek, and totally get away with it. Thank you.

Treebeard

Love those guards ... and the face of the young (jedi) knight.

Roachboy

Cheers!
