Intro
We do little campaigns that have a shared theme and that run over the course of 3-4 months. And to those who know us, it won't come as a surprise, that we're getting things started with halflings. The little lads are, at least to me, and certainly thanks to Mr. T's groundbreaking story telling, the most lovable fantasy race out there!
And thieves, they need to be thieves, for thievery is what little folk with such nimble fingers is inherently good at!
And with this in mind our story starts...
Seppi Sixfingers, so called because of a 6th little finger on his right hand, that starts wiggling every time he lies, was travelling with his two shady companeros on the old trade road that leads through the West Hills. This region is known for it's many wealthy Halfling settlements, and Seppi intends to have a bit of that wealth for himself.
Seppi has woken up with a headache in a dark chamber with a decrepit bed frame, a bed pan and a solid round door.
The last thing he remembers? He and his thief buddies were about to extract themselves from the estate of a wealthy dignitary with a heavy sack full of silver! And this is where his memories end.
Our thief is connecting the dots, and it dawns on him that he's been savaged and thrown in a jail.
Seppi then utilizes one of the rusty nails that holds the bed frame together to pick the door lock, and just in the moment the lock clicks - in that uniquely satisfying 'skyrim' way - he hears a wild commotion and screams on the other side of the door.
In the next moment the door is being pushed open and a panicked guard stands in the door frame. The guard takes one step inside the cell but is suddenly pulled back by a violent force, loosing the crude glaive he held.
Seppi might be a thief with a hyper-moralic sixth finger, but he's no wuss. He doesn't hesitate in grabbing the bed pan, throwing it through the door, and immediately following it's trajectory with an earth-shattering war cry while grabbing the fallen guard's glaive.
The next thing he sees is the large outline of a beast drawn against the full moon. In front of it lies the bed pan. The monstrosity slowly turns it's head towards him, the fine fur still dripping with the bed pan's contents. It slowly opens it's fangs and takes a ducked stance.
Seppi lowers his glaive, and another guard joins the scene, helping up his injured comrade while they prepare to fight the monster.
