Huzzah for painted minis!

@Reaktorminis have shared their painted September minis with us, and my, those are nice!

It was our aim to provide a package that can get printed, prepped and painted to a nice standard within a month, so receiving this set of pictures really makes me feel like the Allfather drinking an excellent Ale after a hard day of stomping out resistance in Jotunheim.

Prost!

Huzzah for painted minis! Huzzah for painted minis! Huzzah for painted minis! Huzzah for painted minis! Huzzah for painted minis!

Thirded, for what that is worth. Halflings in general are under-represented model-wise, in fantasy. Female halflings moreso. Love the "armoured, no-nonsense sheriff/shire-reeve in charge of the militia and prison" idea, especially. And love the grim and gritty monster hunter idea, likewise.

I agree mostly with Allan , I'm trying to get a few family sessions of 5e together for the long winter nights, our current covid lockdown seems to play into this as well. But to be honest its not hard to find decent sculpts for most thing but halflings seem scarce, especially females, a fighter as Allan says would be nice but a solid rouge mini would be good too .

Please check your PMs.

Did I miss the month with the original halfling guard 1 in? I seem to be missing the chap with the hat and torch.

Since you asked, answer kept growing. Maybe a little ranty but hopefully not obnoxiously so... I've found as I've got older/more female friends/a wife/children/hopefully better as a person I am getting less tolerant of the lets say targeted at randy teenage boys sculpts of ladies that dominate the hobby. So any with more realistic and respectful form and clothing. I cringe these days when I see lady armour with shaped love dumplings. With that said and done the things that sprang to mind for me was some strong awesome halfling ladies - large (of persona) and in charge. Channel the spirit of Zoe from firefly if you're familiar and you'd not go far wrong. There is no shortage of generally rogueish halflings so I'd prefer to see something a little less common. So maybe... the head of the guard/militia/prison staff as a no nonsense tough as nails looking veteran/fighter type a werewolf hunter would fit the current storyline.. (could go badass fighter or I quite like the idea of a stocky built, looks like she might actaully have walked out of a mountain force of nature type druid) a landed noble lady who takes her role as protector of her lands and the people therein seriously and IF she calls out for heroes its to go with her not instead of her. Merida from the film Brave comes to mind for inspiration Some sort of not mostly naked barbarian. Shades of Astrid from the how to train your dragon series/films would do no harm at all A tinkerer/artificer. Cos they're cool. Yeah I do watch a few kids films..... :-)

Question - what would you like to see as a first female halfling?

Wyrm Forge

The only real request we've had was for a druid so far, but yes, I'd like to see some female halflings too!

Wyrm Forge

loving what I've seen so far. Not that any have been printed much less painted... yet. Are we going to see some some ladies soon? Not sure how many female halfling badasses I need but the answer is for sure at least one more :-)

Or even better: a digital vault full of files... doesn't take up as much space XD

i know right? Who needs painted minis if you can have mountains of unprinted STL's eh? :---)

Wyrm Forge

Painted minis... Weird concept ;)

Jack Noron

That halfling in red is suspiciously hairy-looking. Better keep him locked up during a full moon! ;)
