December 2020 / True Heroes

This month's set comes with 1 dwarf carrying a goblin child, 1 halfling with kettle jump pack, 1 halfling archaeologist (female), 1 halfling archaeologist (male), and 5 skellies in moorish garb.

Sorry, no story this time as this is such a mixed bag! But I think the moorish skellies will go very well with the 2 halfling archaeologists and pretty much every setting that loosely resembles medieval West Asia. The other minis will work with the treasure trove dwarf crew and who doesn't like a halfling with a kettle as jump pack?

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Skellies took a bit longer than expected and we're really behind with supporting them, so - right now - there are only the unsupported versions, but within 3-4 days there should be nicely supported skellies in the main folder.

These are incredible!

The guy with the sword was supposed to be some kind of leader! But yes - at some point in the future, there will be horses.

Wyrm Forge

A leader style mini. Maybe one or two on horse with bow or sword option? (Then can use same horse and body for both purposes)

Garry Ewing

I feel like the group wrks very well for RPG purposes. What were you thinking in terms of reinforcements?

Wyrm Forge

will you be doing any other moorish skellies in the future? HQ?

Garry Ewing

UnRarX is still around.

Beholder.Madness

Yup, The Unarchiver is the one I use currently. There are others. Unrar was the one I used for years (maybe 10+ years ago or more).

Beholder.Madness

I'm on a Mac, I use Keka to unarchive and use the rar command line program (from 1993!) installed through Homebrew to create a RAR.

Charles Feduke

They are one awesome models. I love the mangalorian theme.

Definitely waiting the extra days to have those skeletons supported. Especially the archers. Best work yet.

As a Mac-user I can use The Unarchiver to open .rar files (pretty sure that's the app - been a while).

Enty

...Running right into the arms of THAT T-Rex!

Wyrm Forge

All good, I like them too. And yes - Persian actually!

Wyrm Forge

Thank you for the corrected link!

Indy and Lara, soon on the table, chasing gold and running from giant boulder :D

I think *.rar is a format that's exclusive to the PC world?

Wyrm Forge

Thanks for the insight! This will help a lot.

Wyrm Forge

is it bad when I say I especially like those skellies? They seem to have an Arabian touch ...

Roachboy

If space on Sync is an issue, using the RAR compression format (somewhat common amongst 3D printer Patreons I support) is considerably smaller; the zip from Sync was 323 MB, the RAR of the same STLs was 150 MB.

Charles Feduke

Something that really helps with Sync: if you offer a link on sync that includes only a zip file of everything. Reason being is that when people click "Download All" Sync helpfully constructs a zip file anyway, which sometimes takes a few minutes and then will occasionally lose the zip file when proxying it to the client's browser (502 bad gateway). This has been a problem with Sync for the last year or so; I doubt they ever intend to fix it. Just don't put the zip file in the same share as the loose files, or else you'll have dunderheads [like me] clicking Download All which will then zip the complete zip with all the sibling files and... bad things.

Charles Feduke

Those Moorish squelettons are just ...WOW !!!! The style of those undead. I want more of those !!!!!!! :)

Oh! So sorry - will fix that right when I am back from dropping the toddler of at Kindergarten.

Wyrm Forge

The link isn't working - I receive the "about:blank#blocked" error, and I cannot copy the December link to edit it. Thanks!

sithkhan

Dude awesome. Thanks
