Hal has been looking for his estranged, oligarch stepmother since she beat him down and humiliated him last year. He'd been training (and evidently, snacking on entire jars of protein powder). Finally, she responded to his messages with the location of one of her company's old warehouses, a date and a time. To Hal's surprise, when he arrived, he found his step-mother dressed not for a fight... she explained to him that he wasn't worth her time, and she'd found her own lovely little bodyguard to destroy him for her viewing pleasure. To Hal's shock, he turned and witnessed... Alicia Masterson. The kicking calamity, the butcher. She was known for her brutal lower body strength and the most dangerous knee strike on the planet.
