Added 2020-06-08 23:45:43 +0000 UTCTaking time off for the month, besides not being able to deliver anything, is also to figure out this new sales thing. This is what I know, there're categories that are taxable, there those that aren't, and Patreon wants to know what I as a creator is putting out.
What I offer fall squarely in Digital Downloads, so some of you may be poked for a little bit more. for further reading, click the following link and scroll down to 'Details on Sales Tax' which includes US state breakdown, exemptions and other countries applicable.
Incidentally, there's no taxing in donations, I might bring that back after the last bit of drama, but donation is still a tier, subject to pauses. An external tipjar is still a safer bet.
