I've not gone through the ins and outs of the program, so I can't quite imagine far about what it could be used for, aside from another method of content delivery. Perhaps 'special' rewards that clash with P's content moderation?
anyone else running a patreon + discord? can you help clue me in?

I use discord and it do a lot of thing. You can setup channel based on tiers of patreons, where higher tier can see the content that others can’t. Also a patreons bot that provided by patreon that automatic assign tier to any patreons in discord. Then invite a picarto bot to announce a streaming mesage to everyone when you go online stream

2020-10-14 02:54:01 +0000 UTChmmm... it's mostly about extra socialization with the author, more than showcasing stuff... soooo streams where you can talk to the host because they are directly on discord and the ability to chat with them whenever they are online. Many artists use it also to vent or have some extra motivation or a bit of "virtual head pats" when they are feeling down because it's just one click away. Sooo yeah, it's just a chatting program that works also as a streaming service and as social media.
