I'm thinking about reducing the number of 3D models available to new Patrons from three to two.

This idea came to me because I felt very uncomfortable when people subscribed and then unsubscribed the next day, receiving three high-quality models for a minimum subscription. I assumed this could happen, but at the moment it is hitting me very hard.

Perhaps, like all people, I am greedy, and therefore such situations are unpleasant for me 🤔 Or maybe it doesn’t seem entirely fair to me when such situations happen, since I put a lot of resources and my whole soul into creating my 3D models, trying to make them perfect. My vanity definitely plays a role, I really like it when people praise me because it confirms that I did a good job and I really appreciate such moments 🤗

Do you think it would be fair to leave 2 models for one-time access for new Patrons?

Thank you for the interesting thoughts ❤ I like the topic of loyalty that has been raised more than once, this is an option that everyone can like, I like to think about it. In this case, I will be pleased, and the new Patron, who decides to stay, will receive a well-deserved reward 😊 I will think about this topic and will definitely share the result of my thoughts

Thank you for your understanding, I appreciate it ❤ I’ll have a lot to think about in the coming days, I think I’ll be able to make everyone happy, at least I’ll try and a compromise might actually be a good option

Thank you for your kind words, the best reward for me is praise and recognition, I am very pleased ❤ I will definitely be changing the rewards approach for new Patrons to keep everyone happy 😊

Hello! I am glad and grateful that you decided to share your opinion, I find it very interesting ❤ The opinion of each of my Patrons is very important to me. I think that I should also do something like a reward for loyalty so that people really have a reason to stay with me 🤔

It’s perfectly normal to feel that way. And most Patreons limit access to only what was released that month, as others have said. So limiting it, even to 1, is fine and in your best interest as an artist. A few thoughts on that: - as others have said, to avoid people only subscribing one month, some form of incentive might be needed, like a loyalty reward. Given your type of art and niche, that could either be something smaller and worthwhile every 3/6 months, or perhaps something bigger and unique (like a full armour set) for those having been subscribed a year. Don’t feel extra pressure from this though, if you can’t offer loyalty rewards right now (because they of course require a lot of time to design and you need to lower pressure now, not increase it), you can still add them later, even retroactively if you wish. - you might have to look at how you share files if you remove access sooner; not everyone might be able to download in the exact month of release, so those who paid for access 3 months ago might still need to have an accessible link today (hidden to new backers but accessible for the old ones).

Hello, I'm pretty new here but I figured I may as well weight in. There will always be people who subscribe, grab the thing they want and leave. In the end the typical consumer will do what is most convenient for them. But I can understand its unpleasant to see. That is why from what I've seen other 3d printing oriented Patreon's do is that they have some form incentive for the subscriber. Like loyalty rewards to remain subscribed and welcoming packages to draw people in. Aside from that its pretty normal to limit one day subscribers to only what was released that month. If that is 2 models then that is 2 models. If its 3 its 3. And if its 1 its 1. After all the subscription is on basis of a time frame not really on a per model basis.

Given the quality and attention to detail that you put into your work, I think that two models is plenty. Unfortunately, short-term subscribers are just a part of the equation when offering a subscription. Personally, I like the idea of “loyalty” systems, where every few months another past model is unlocked as a reward for staying with the Patreon. I know it can be demoralizing to “give away” the work you’ve spent so much time and energy on, but balancing that with your longer-term goal of a larger Patreon base is a compromise you’ll have to measure.

No, I think 2 is fine. Your concerns are valid. Maybe change it to a loyalty type thing, after 3 months you get access to more? Or something along those lines, gives people a reason to stay subscribed. What you do is stunning and worth waiting for.
