But… regarding any other Teddy’s/The Black Label involvement to the group or I-Land 2, well… it was pretty much like: “The Black Label people were just actors in the show with script what to say and who to choose, because Mnet/WakeOne made a deal with The Black Label, so they were sent them to represent The Black Label, but WakeOne decided, who will be in the group and how the group will look like” Which applies to editing and screentime of contestants, so fans would vote for those, who Mnet/WakeOne wanted… (Only Koko, the first rapper, might have been a slight change in their initial line up, because she got really popular among the viewers) I guess this is the case for many survival show and I personally like different type of contestants (mainly those, who has something “new” they can bring to the table), when it comes to creating a group, but that is obviously just my personal thing… The only “big problem” I have is that they chose Sarang (the second rapper) to be a rapper rather than choosing a contestant, who was into rap on her own. Small spoiler to the show: In the very last episode they told Sarang to have a rap part, despite her being into dancing and singing only the whole time, she managed to be “good enough”, so they decided to make her the “assigned rapper”. Which is the thing I wanted to say with all of this. If The Black Label was actually involved in the creation of this group at least a bit, the line up would have been different (in my eyes most likely stronger, rather than just “fans’ favorite ones)

Don’t really know why you feel work up by my comment out of all people when I didn’t force anything at all. If he wants to watch the full show then it’s great. Btw, in that poll, I vote Yes but it’s sadly lost so majority of people here didn’t want him to watch the show at all at that time. But I feel like as time passed by, the reception got better overall.

I watched A LOT of survival shows, and i really don't get why people are saying its bad, when i thought is one of the fairest ones in terms of everything! It became my favorite survival show by FAR and i really got attached to these girls, please give it a chance. Their MAMA performance of IZNA and TIMEBOMB is even better than the mv in my opinion!

I still think the same but it’s up to you to decide. Or maybe when you are more familiar with the group or the members and decide to follow them more then you can pick up the show to start the journey like what you do with Triple S right now.

2024-11-27 14:01:51 +0000 UTCI was really hoping they wouldnt debut with a hiphop song, im sick and tired of listening to teddys music. Im glad that I didnt hate it as much as i thought i would. Its an ok debut, i kinda love the chorus while at the same time thinking that there is something missing in it, its really weird. Since I loved all the songs from Iland 2 so much (which are now on the album as bsides) I cant help but feel a little disappointed. Anyways I agree with everyone else PLEASE watch ILand2 it was so much fun and had some great performances.

I originally didn’t want to watch it 1)because I disagree with cjenm as a whole company and how they treated Enhypen after they sold their shares, (that’s a whole separate issue) and 2) I didn’t want to see any more survival shows due to my emotional heart. BUT… once I saw Jeemin (I’ve been rooting for her since runext) was going to be on the show, I HAD to make sure she debuted and watched to support her. Then of course I ended up loving all the girls in the show and was really happy with the lineup which is now IZNA. And I will continue to support all the girls because they’re all so talented, and like you said Charismatic. I’m so proud of them! I guess I have a soft spot for iland groups as Enhypen are my ult ! And now izna I will stay and support ! Also again thank you for the reaction! I really hope you do check iland2 out :)

Same thing happened with Queendom Puzzle - which was in retrospect, not that bad of a show overall. (Plus it gave us the total banger original song that was Bad Blood! I'll never get over how good that song was)

2024-11-27 11:23:04 +0000 UTCI don't think it's so much that some people "hate" the song but find it underwhelming (mostly the chorus), for how very anticipated and hyped people were for this group's debut. But I do like the song! And while I think it's just fine, I do agree with the opinion that chorus not giving a strong enough impact, ESPECIALLY for a debut title track! To me, it feels like the chorus should be part of their intro track (if they had one) - and because the song is so short, you need every part to HIT the mark. I think the one new bside, Time Bomb, was much better in that regard.

I just wanna say that I have high hopes for this group in the future comebacks because it is rare for me to see a group where I think everyone is just so equally talented and really stands out so much. but i’m also ngl that I’m in pain knowing that I have to settle to seeing Saebi (blonde hair) for like 5-10 secs in mv and having little lines in their song. I do hope it gets better next comeback because that girl for me is so Xiaoting coded. She is so center material and her stage presence is just way too good. Love the group tho and despite some comments stating dissapointment on their debut I actually like the songs lol.

I was very curious to see your reaction to this show and some stuff that happened x) So not really happy with people who voted no T_T I think their performance on MAMA is better than the MV. Tbh the song is good, like it's not one of my favorite song ever but it's a good debut song for me. I'm just really worried about the fact that Teddy is producing for them, I don't know if it will be like this for all their albums for their entire career or just for a specific number of albums/amount of time. But I'm bothered by the way Teddy is trying too hard to push his own idendity on all the groups he's producing for. Koko is so amazing, and I really love her, so I really really hope that they won't just try to make a copy of Lisa out of her. I don't want her to have the same rap, with the same type of flow on every song, please. The MV is nothing extraordinary, but I'm not surprised either. WakeOne MVs are always pretty, and that's it. So, hard to expect some more complex storytelling or just more creativity for them. Their MAMA performance is amazing on another hand, and really showcase their star power, and their skills on stage. Also, all the b-sides are great, so really happy for the girls and their debut ! I really hope the best for them in the future.

In terms of the show I fear people might be overselling how "bad" it is, it's just the usual mnet issues. Also people mostly complain about part 2 where all the mnet issues feel worse because there's only 12 contestants and 4 long episodes.

2024-11-27 08:39:31 +0000 UTCThe biggest problem with the show for me was that in part 2 it became very obvious who the producers favourites were, which was a little frustrating if it wasn't your own favourite. My top pick in particular got shafted. But on the whole I enjoyed the show, especially part 1. Also, it's rumoured that H1ghr music are forming a group from the eliminated contestants, so if you watch the show you'd essentially be killing two birds with one stone.

Their cover performances were insane too and showcased their potential. just like any debut though, they’ve only briefly shown how talented they are. I think they’ll very quickly become one of your favourites after watching them perform and if u ever watch the show
