Broken Mods, DD:DA and you. (Also, me)
Added 2017-10-10 10:29:47 +0000 UTCIf you have mods that are broken due to the update, and you can't play without them - Please contact me via PM. I will repair them. I am offering this service so that you all can enjoy the new game update without sacrificing the way you want to enjoy it.
The update will have broken some mods, and many authors are of the mind to abandon their work. I am capable of fixing them, I felt it selfish not to after refusing to do so earlier. When I thought about it I looked back at myself and felt ashamed. Modding was never about time, responsibility or especially money. It was something I enjoy, and some mod authors I thought enjoyed. When I refused to help someone who had grown accustomed to a mod setup and felt they couldn't play without them it began to bother me.
We mod authors condition mod users to a certain playstyle when they love our work. Abandoning them after that conditioning is not only irresponsible it's also downright wrong. We're actively going against the very reason we work on our mods in the first place.
If mod authors won't maintain their work, I will. As much as I can anyway.
