Version update progress:
Added 2018-10-03 00:23:51 +0000 UTCProgress was stalled for awhile due to the hurricane, the birth my Sheryl's child a month early and the fact he requires constant care. At 3 weeks old, he's not yet 6lbs.
We're splitting shifts with him so there is an adult awake 24 hours a day.
He currently only has the strength to wake up to eat and to keep himself warm. He goes to the pediatrician every week until he's strong enough to stay awake. Until that time, he'll require constant care.
This post is to inform everyone watching for the next update that it's still in progress and why it has been slowed. I have tried to put in an hour a day or more each day to at least get to a point it's at a trial state.
Currently the tests are going, but I am still working out crashes from missed sanity checks. The biggest issue, is creating something without end users having to hex edit their .exe
That is the reason it takes so long to get the version updates out. I can provide the same experience with or without hex editing being required, but without requires many hours of work.
I'm not willing to sacrifice the quality or the thoughtfulness of my work to get something out faster. I want everyone to have the best experience I can provide. It's just taking longer than I would like because of how harsh these conditions are.
I promise to have this out as absolutely soon as possible.
